My 'light-blue badge'

I just want to share this observation with some of you if I may. It’s a bit revealing about who I am, but since I don’t have much to loose at this point (the big DF is only a matter of time) so I think will risk revealing some identifying info about myself. Also I have a book that will soon be out concerning some of the clandestine work I did for the federal government (KGB, Hackers, FBI, Secret Service), some real neat stuff that I can now talk about. And because of this, I’m sure people will be able to put two and two together and figure out who ‘freeman’ really is.

I work in a high security federal facility. It is considered a very high profile target and risk to terrorist attack. Since the incidents in New York and Washington, we are now on a state of high-alert at this facility.

Yesterday non-government employees like me were sent home early, as there were not enough government employees to watch us all. We now have SWAT teams all around the facility brandishing M-16 automatic weapons. This is not a joke, and it’s unbelievable to see! The inner automatic ram-proof security gates have been activated. All cars are being searched as they enter, Bomb sniffing dogs are at the ready, and many rows of parking spaces around the buildings are roped off so as to put all cars further away from the buildings to minimize the effects of a car bomb explosion.

Yesterday, an unexpected Fed-X truck was turned away at the gate at gunpoint by a SWAT guy dressed in full body-armor and helmet carrying an M-16! The poor Fed-X driver must have shit his pants! I have never seen security this tight here, and the mood here is now very somber. This is as real as it gets, and nobody here is laughing or joking in the halls anymore, it is so very strange.

One of the big reasons for all the security is that in times of emergency, like yesterday, airforce-one can be controlled from this facility. Controlled from within a multi-foot thick safe like room, deep underground and under tons of reinforced concrete and steel. Also our radar and computer systems are tied-in and part of NORAD. Most people that work here do not have a clearance above secret, as there is no need for anything higher. My clearance, not that I need it for this particular type of work, is many levels higher then almost anyone at this facility, yet I am not allowed to enter operational areas today as I normally would. Why? Because my badge is ‘light-blue’ and not ‘dark-blue’.

As of yesterday I can’t even walk to the bathroom or the cafeteria without a dark-blue badge escort.

    FYI: Dark-blue = Government employee, i.e. trusted.
Light-blue = contractor i.e. keep an eye on this guy.

I am the system administrator of a very complex system who’s failure could and probably would cause the loss of human life. In fact there are signs all around the facility warning that such interruptions could result in the loss of human life and that it is a federal offence to interfere with operations at this facility. I work at New York’s Air Traffic Control Center. There I said it. I have worked at this facility for about 11 years, and I am normally highly trusted in my position here.

In fact, I am normally trusted so much that I have a most powerful computer account under my control. If I make a mistake typing a command, every Air Traffic Controller’s radar screen could go blank jeopardizing many, many lives. That is how much power is normally trusted into my hands.

But as of yesterday, none of that seems to matter now. My spotless work record, my clearance, nothing seems to matter. Now I am not fully trusted because ‘I wear the wrong color badge’. I’m not accepted as a full member of the club anymore. It is hitting me just now how this type of narrow-minded thinking brought on by this tragedy is so much like the normal JW mindset of quick judgment based on only outward appearance.

Baptized but low field service hours = not fully trusted, keep an eye on this one. You have a light-blue badge, so we have to watch you. Don’t try anything funny.

Baptized, with lots of field service hours = Trusted, fully vetted, Yes, invite this one into the inner-circle for he has a dark-blue badge, he’s in the club. You can even trust this one with your children.

Even at this late stage in the game, I’m still amazed at how much stock some people put in such trivial outward things, in my case the ‘light VS dark blue badge'. In the case of the dubs, how much field service one records on a sheet of paper. How truly shallow is their analysis, how truly shallow is their thinking.

Hay Bboyneko, I wish I knew for sure who they were going to bomb but like most people, I don’t. However it’s a good bet that Afghanistan is on the short list of targets. Why?

    1. Osama-bin Laden is known to have had camps there in the past.

    2. Afghanistan is currently defending him in the press saying such things that they know it couldn’t be him, it was much to complex an attack for him to pull off. Why are they saying such things and just how would they know what he is capable of? A very stupid move on their part!

    3. We just canceled the USS Enterprise’s scheduled return to US port.

    4. We just moved the USS Enterprise and most of it’s associated carrier fleet to within striking range of Afghanistan.

    5. And as of last night, we ordered all US personnel out of Afghanistan.

Maybe all this is just a tactic on the part of the US government. Perhaps the US is sending a very strong message to ‘persuade’ Afghanistan to help us find this guy, or maybe it’s the start of a real buildup to a massive strike. I have no idea, but personally I have taken Afghanistan off of my list of places I want to visit in the next few months.

At my work things are still a bit weird. New York airspace is under 100% surveillance by AWACS and F-15 / F-16 fighters with orders to shoot any unauthorized aircraft out of the sky, no questions asked.

The SWAT teams are gone for now but they have been replaced with many regular cops. They searched my car again today when I entered, and I still can’t go into some areas without an escort, but without all the SWAT teams and machineguns, the tension here is getting a bit less, but it’s still weird.

bboy, that has to be the funniest things I've seen you write and you make me laugh all the time! DARK blue smock! priceless.

freeman, now that you've vented, I think that I might remove your post if I were you. Feels like you're giving away too much information about your facility.
