    Ecclesiastical Privilege is the same as Attorney-Client Privilege, except it involves the confidentiality of the confession to wrongdoing of a church-goer between the clergy of the church to which the church-goer belongs. Clergy are generally not required to report wrongdoings that they hear as a result of a confessional, although in all of Canada and in many parts of the US, Ecclesiastical Privilege does not exempt the reporting of the crime of child molestation.
