    Starve the public!

Jehovah’s Witnesses went door to door this year to hand out invitations to their “Deliverance At Hand” conventions.

Only Watchtower would invite the general public to their conventions and have pre-arranged to shut down the concessions so the attending few public would starve.

And then place men at the doors to discourage leaving.

    Voice your disgust.

I love how the society tries to make the conventions sound like some great public gathering when, in reality, it is very uninviting for non-JW's. Why? Well, when I was one "internal watchman" we made sure to tail every person who didn't lool like a JW, sometimes following them for an hour or more, and by then of course, they knew we were there, since we would follow them into the bathroom (men, obviously) to make sure they were'nt checking out the little kiddies. It was exciting and fun - it gives you a sense of power and importance, but at the same time really, really stupid and petty.
But anyway, yea, a person ff the street would be totally displaced since they would have t oleave and get food and then I doubt they would want to go back in amongst the rude stares and find a seat by crawling over 12 huge-thighed ladies and buckets of chicken scraps between the seats.

Oh My Gosh I didn't know the so called brothers were told to do that. Why?????

A JW man came to the door today and left that invite to the district convention some 100 miles away to hear "Deliverance At Hand" talk. I looked at it said Winston-Salem? Why in the heck would I drive 200 round trip for a talk I could hear at a local church? That guy didn't know what to say. The organization must be losing members to imagine NON-Witness people would drive that far to hear one of their talks. All the years we were JW's don't remember doing that except in the area where the convention was going to be held.

is there some sort of charitable tax relief advantage or stadium discount to making conventions open to the public?

is it some sort of criteria theyre filling by this en-masse invitation?

"is there some sort of charitable tax relief advantage or stadium discount to making conventions open to the public?"

Now that's a thought....? I wonder, just wonder.

This I do know. I am saving all my Tim Horton coffee cups and bags and wrappers etc. to dump at the convention. I will take my Burger King garbage and stuff a Watchtower convention program inside and dump it here and there.

I will make sure the vendors know we ate out. That should grind them when they have to cut a cheque to The AUD management for the franchise fee that they aren't making any profit from.

"And then place men at the doors to discourage leaving."

When did they start to do THAT?

Can anyone supply details as to what these "guards" do? Do they say or do anything to stop people from leaving to get some lunch?
