That is really sad, Indonesia has had it very tough in general.
Well, on the bright side (to the Watchtower), they can probably make some money off of this! They can tell their obedient followers that want to donate "Just write a check to World Wide Work." I bet everytime there's a huge tragedy, they rake in quite a bit of extra cash!

Living in an earthquake zone has to be dreadful, it's like having a sword constantly hunging over your head and you never know if and when it will fall. And in those third world countries who can trust the building constructors that they will make a solid building to withstand earthquakes?
