Okay, so I needed some pain. Got the second of several tattoo's done. The first one is of an infinity symbol, basically the belief that everything will come full circle. Now I know this is a childish belief, but I need it. It keeps me going. To protect that idea, I needed a guardian. What puts the idea at risk is reality. Below the second one will be japanese kanji for "reality" and on the other side above the good samurai will be kanji for "innocence". Yah for pain!

looks good.
I've decided upon but have yet to get mine-
a spiderweb that covers my shoulder, arm, chest and back, and has a little black spider with a red watchtower in the center.

It's huge!!
I like hearing the little stories about why people get tattoos. I've got mine all planned, I just need the money to get it done.
So how have you been? Good? I never come across you here anymore.

Dams:
I've been really really good. Just busy as all get out. I have missed all of you very much. What a way to come back huh? A gigantic tattoo.
Buttlight:
It hurt like hell as long as the gun was on my skin. But as soon as he moved it, it was all good. Standing the pain? I dunno. I guess that it's a state of mind. It means something to me to have the tattoo, therefore I think the pain is the payment I make for what it gives me back.
Richie:
Doood. I have been following your threads. It goes without saying that you have the whole community, including a giant tattooed black man behind you Your tattoo idea made me laugh. I needed that one. :)

I'm relieved to hear you've been good, I worry when I don't hear from posters I've become attached to.

I think I just felt my heart go pitter patter
I am attached to you as well. I think about this place all of the time. I've just been overwhelmed with work and a side business and all of the things that I want to do in a day that only lasts 24 hours. A part of me as well just needed a bit of perspective and some time to heal from my JW scars. They just keep getting ripped open. Therefore, the tattoo. It helps me cope to believe that everything will come full circle.

Wow, CHL, that's amazing!
I know nothing personally of tattoo pain (not having any tattoos), but a young friend of mine got quite a large (not as large as yours), colorful one across her lower back a couple of years ago and passed out while the color was being filled in. Scared the tattoo guy to death but she was okay.

I missed this thread somehow.....been sporadic around here. Trying to keep myself busy these days with REAL life! HA!
I LOVE the tatt's....
nice work. I know I would have been over my limit with the size of those ones. Your adrenalin and endorphins peak and fall over the process and then your body starts to shut down.......
I want another tatt but it's quite detailed and large so I need to mentally prepare for it.
love your art man! - freedomlover
