Is your pastor yearning after you during confession?

Friday, March 31, 2006 Dear Sir: A recent item written to the local press to raise the real concerns or motives behind some pastors who support women during confessions, and to determine whether their motives are gathering information to arm “the Pastors” themselves with information to butch women’s husbands or just to manipulate the women themselves, resulted in the Seven-Day Adventist group immediately introducing a seminar aimed at helping their preachers better proclaim God’s word which somehow suggested that perhaps a sign of guilt lies somewhere within their church among their pastors who perhaps are abusing their power/privileges and conveniently judging people while yearning/lusting after other men wives/women as they prepare to slaughter people, while treating God’s church as a chop shop signaled a strong sign of guilt. The other interesting aspect of comments resulting from the real motives behind some pastors during confession is that the Jehovah’s Witnesses church refuses to permit/allow any current member of their congregation to leave their congregation freely. What is even more interesting to learn is that their elders deny going after whistle-blowers to forbid them from talking to current members in order to prevent them from informing current members of the church practices to keep a code of secrecy. Does this sound like a cult? Well, to share my opinion it sounds like something out of a freaky movie that somehow describes the horrendous crimes committed during the Jim Jones saga that tortured hundreds of people in Guyana during the 1970’s. Perhaps the sign of the time indicates that we are in for seeing a repeat of such circumstances should people fail to question and understand the real status of their church. What is even more interesting to learn is that the Jehovah’s Witnesses church has won 37 out of 46 US Supreme Court Cases. This is some powerful organization to be affiliated with if you wish to cruelly abuse the rights of others by mistreating people as Jim Jones did in Guyana during the 1970’s. This leads one to wonder, was Jim Jones affiliated with such an organization to be able to get away with cruelly during the 1970’s for as long as he did? Maybe the time has come for churchgoing people in these islands and perhaps regionally to examine the status and unforeseen common practices of their church. Are these churches a dangerous cult? Can one really leave and go to another church at their discretion? Is one able to freely stop attending and disassociate themselves with current and past members? Does the Seven-Day Adventist Church practice the same methods of control over their members? Well these are just a few questions to ask yourself the next time you attend your church if you believe that your church is freely preaching the word of God and practicing his freedoms your pastor often refers to? Are we in for another/repeat regional Jim Jones saga? Something for our churchgoers to think about the next time they give a confession is to determine whether or not your Pastor is yearning/lusting after you while slaughtering your spouse? No. I always enjoy your posts, DH, but this time it`s a bit to much sensationalism for my taste. There is no way in heaven or hell that there would ever be a mass suicide in the JW-cult. It`s just not gonna happen, ever, it`s not that kind of a cult. There is no money in corpses laying around, you have to be alive (and robotisized, of course), to place those magazines. The mass-suicide-sects all have one thing in common: They are very small, rarely over a 1000 members, and they are even more isolated than the JW-cult. The brainwashing elements are basically the same, but even clearer to the outsider (when it comes to these small suicide-cults, like Jones` cult). That`s what makes the JW-religion so dangerous: It looks like a "normal religion" on the surface, while in reality, it is not a normal religion, it is based on a complete obedience to the cult-leader(s). But the JWs are no suicide cult, and they never will be (apart from the ongoing suicides due to the blood-doctrine, that is). There`s no money in 6 million corpses.

I had nothing to do with this particular article,none-the-less 90% of the general population don't know enough about JW's to know that they wouldn't kill themselves,so any 'bad' news is good news.

Know this,i personally know of hundreds of long-time Jehovah's Witnesses who have or will die premature deaths due to neglect of their long term healthcare. This includes some of my own family members, they ignored their high blood pressure, colon cancer screening, etc.

    Yes,Jonestown without the kool-aid.

Hellrider, I agree with your comment:

There is no way in heaven or hell that there would ever be a mass suicide in the JW-cult. It`s just not gonna happen......

However, I also believe that the mindset is there. Witnesses follow blindly whatever the Governing Body tells them, usually without question. Don't forget that they allow their children and loved ones to die just because the Governing Body says that it is Biblically correct not to accept blood and afterwards these brothers are certain that Jehovah is pleased by this sacrifice.

Is it so far fetched to believe that if phrased correctly and presented with "evidence" that Jehovah wanted them to, that the witnesses would drink the kool-aid? I believe that most of them would, perhaps not all, but a goodly number.

I made a catchy grabber topic line that may mislead the real information that a lot of anti-watchtower news articles have been coming out of Cayman Net News, Cayman Islands

Signing the NO BLOOD card to me, is the same as signing your own death warrant. Thusly, committing yourSELF to suicide.

The appauling thing is, is that jw parents sign their kids death warrants too!

Now tell me, how is this any different than what went down in Jonestown, when you peel the 'onion' down to its core?

I know all about elders who lend a kind ear and offer spiritual help only to be lusting after you. I had an elder tell me on the phone once to tell him all my martial problems, nothing was too personal, he wanted to to help me. I swear that is true. And more than once I had elders offering all kinds of help, all as long as you are eye candy. And it happened within the 90's not a long time ago. but elders are like the fallen angels, remember what it says? who only lusted after the good looking women. Once you are no longer good looking, they will find new prey. Keep your daughters away from the elders. This is not a joke.

Mind you they caused the death of a lot more people that Jim Jones did albeit in a more spread out fashion so it is not as striking but surely a lot more than 1000 JWs died, mainly due to the blood ban and some (ex JWs)from suicides caused by the emotional pressure from shunning.
