You might not have heard, but the bureau of weights and measures announced a proposal today to utilize more daylight during the summer. Daylight savings time is to be repealed, and will be replaced by a system that moves the clocks ahead 90 minutes every spring instead of the obligatory 60 of daylight savings. The plan will include a new tax you must pay when switching between times in order to fund a committee which will oversee the transition to the new time system.
