Hi Junction,
I'm not from Kentucky, but just wanted to say I'm glad to see you back. Have you done any "placard" work near any Kingdom Halls lately?
Hi Kenneson, no I havent picketed any kingdom halls lately, the last time I officially picketed was in July 2005 at the Amarillo Tx convention. Thanks Kenneson, I can now post and receive messages from home (webtv upgrade), sorry it took me so long to reply back. I will be bringing this topic to the top every now and then. Dave
In 1970, a few weeks after I graduated high school, I went down to Pikesville, KY to work with some special pioneers down there. Let's see what names I can remember. I went down with Larry Tyler, and he eventually moved down to that area. There was a guy named Alan Trottier. He was pretty bright, and I've heard he may have left the Witnesses. Would be interested in knowing.
There were a couple of other guys down there, but I can't remember their names. One, at least, was from Maine. He went on to Bethel, then married, and believe it or not named his three kids Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego - what a strange, strange thing. I think his first name was Gary.
One Pioneer down there had like a Norwegian name.
We all stayed in a two-room cabin with no running water or indoor plumbing. It was quite an experience.
Any names ring a bell? Believe it or not, we held the meetings in the showroom of a car dealership of this guy who was studying with the Witnesses. Too odd!
