Blood - why bother over kids?

Every time a JW child is rushed into hospital, precious hours are wasted over claim and counterclaim of the blood issue.

WHY do dub parents waste precious hours or minutes refusing blood for their kid, when they know a court order will take the issue out of their hands anyway????

I just saw the film untergang, where Himmler's wife said she did not want her children to live in a non NAZI world.

Surely to God this is not what is now going on in Dub minds now the predictions are so patently LIES???

Those hours before the court order comes in, are the hours the parents are expected to be "spiritually strong". Of course, deep down inside, many (most?) of them silently prays that the court would hurry up, so that it could be taken out of their hands. If the transfusion is forced on the child, the parent (and child) cannot be held responsible "in the eyes of Jehovah", and voilĂ , the problem is fixed. Or maybe not. Because in those first few hours, that is when the patient needs the transfusion. And so, the children dies.

I remember when I was a kid, a couple of articles of JW-parents on the run with their sick child, to prevent the child from being forced to have a transfusion (in some ungodly 3rd-world country, if memory serves me right). And I remember looking around at the adults, thinking "this is just crazy...they`re on the run from a treatment that could save the kids life. How crazy is that? God wouldn`t want that!". Think I was born apostate.

I sure hope the ongoing lawsuit (in Canada, was it?) is succesful. That would open up a whole flood of courtcases against the WTS. It`s time to stop this madness. This is 2006.

Gotta try and be like Abraham and all. Here was a guy who "saw" miracles happen so therefore would have more of a substantial reason for his faith. While we today don't see any miracles but witnesses are still expected to put their kids up on the alter.
