Interesting information coming out about the infamous "cartoons of the prophet" ... it seems that they were published on the front page of an Egyptian newspaper several months ago with not so much as a peep from anyone. Fingers are now being pointed at Syria and Iran.

    Entire article is at: http://inbrief.threatswatch.org/2006/02/rice-calls-out-iran-syria-for/

    One paragraph from article:

The Belmont Club notes a blog called Freedom for Egyptians, which has photographs of the October 17, 2005 edition of the Egyptian newspaper, al-Fager. In that edition were published the very pictures originally published in August 2005 in Denmark. The Egyptian blogger rightly wonders where the Egyptian riots are. She also notes that, while Denmark has apologized, the Egyptian publisher has refused to apologize, stating that he is proud that his newspaper ran the cartoons.

anyone with half a brain cell knows that Iran, Syria and North Korea are nations that need to be watched carefully. Perhaps George Bush went too far calling them the Axis of Evil - but lets be fair - he was not far short of the mark

These cartoons were published back in September. Why all the fuss now? Does it have anything to do with the Iran oil bourse coming up in March? You better believe it. We are being set up for a big showdown in the mid east very soon.

That's the way it appears to be the outrage of the Moslems seems to have been manufactured and it shows how intolerent the Moslems are. They better mind their own business what goes on in their own countries and not what happens outside.

Poor Rushdie is still under the death sentence fatwa that Ayatollah issued in 1989.
