  LONDON, England (UPI) -- Renowned scientist James Lovelock says he believes the world has passed the point of no return for climate change, and civilization is unlikely to survive.

  I would disagree. The number one issue is the growing threat of nuclear warfare with the number two threat being the rapidly diminishing availability of energy sources for the world. Global warming is IMO a close third.

  I agree that there are more important issues. Finding alternative energy sources would top my list.

  and could rebound the earth into an ice age, it won't make the earth uninhabitable.
  Now if we lose our polar magnetic fields that will make earth unihabitable.
  We'll find out if the measured weakening field reverses or goes out all together
  in another 1000 years.
