  It has come to my attention that husband has visited a family members home in jw capacity along with another jw. I am pretty PO'd about it and family member made me promise not to tell him I know. (great) I have drafted a letter to friends and family about jw's and mind control and so on (yes, all nicey nice, love the person, etc..) My question is should I even send it? Was the reason he went to this home because it is in their territory or would he/will he go to all friends and family? opinions please, thanks again, carla

  ps- he did once get my dad in a position in which he could not get away and try and prosyltize him, finally dad said he doesn't want hear anymore of 'this shit' as the org wrecks families in his opinion. Dad and Mom read C of C when all this first started so no worry about them joining up.

  What's the letter say, if I'm not being too nosey. If it's a generic, 'just wanted you all to know how I feel about all this, and don't worry about hurting my feelings if you have to tell hubby to buzz off', letter, then I can't see it hurting.

  Of course, hubby might not feel the same way...

  a) If this family member is in the territory of his congregation, then it's possible that it was a chance meeting so to speak. If the family member is not in the territory, then he's targeting them.

  b) If he's targeting them, he's going behind your back to evangelize to your family. Since I don't know your family, my concern would be, that maybe one of them could be interested in what he would have to say.

  I'm with Jeannie. I don't think a basic letter could hurt. If he knew about it, it could spark problems. Then again, if you are fairly certain that this was an issue of him trying to get to your family behind your back, that needs to be taken into consideration as well.
