Ecclesiastes 12:11-13
11 The words of the wise are like goads, their collected sayings like firmly embedded nails—given by one Shepherd.
12 Be warned, my son, of anything in addition to them.
Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body.
13 Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the whole duty of man.
As I see these verses. The one Shepherd is God. Notice what verse 12 says: Be warned my son, of making addition to them.
I believe most people in this forum would agree, that the leadership of WTS in the past have made additions to the wise words of God. The study of many books and magazines can indeed weary the body (the mind). Can it really be that God wanted all these extra publications? According to the scripture the answer is no.
