The Holidays.

Well, this Thanksgiving was the first one my wife and I officially celebrated. The grand JW tradition of eating turkey, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving day and excusing it with a "well turkey's cheap this time of year", is one we used to practice. This year however it was official.

It makes me wonder about other holidays, and the bs the WTS uses to forbid them.

    Any thoughts?

Seems to me like there were a lot of Thanksgiving and Christmas turkeys eaten in quite a lot of JW homes over the years - mine included. And not a few spiral hams!

My mother always used that excuse too (that turkeys were cheap). I think she saw it as a day to get together and she always included the people that had no family around.

I hope you have many more thanksgivings to come.
