First of all, Pammy, you should know that this site is frequented primarily by people who no longer recognize Jehovah's Witnesses as being the true religion. You may, therefore, receive answers that differ from what current JWs will give you, but I'll do my best...

    1. what is the amology of yaway?

I have truly tried hard to figure out what you might mean by "amology," but am still unsure. I'll only tell you that Yahweh is recognized as the personal name for God as found in the Hebrew scriptures--or Old Testament. It comes from something called "the Tetragrammaton," which refers to the four letters of the Hebrew language that represented the name of God. Sometimes those letters are rendered YHWH--and sometimes JHVH. They didn't use vowels in this ancient language, so no one knows for certain how it was pronounced, but it is believed to have been [Yah-way.] At some point in history, English speaking people began to pronounce it Jehovah, and JWs recognize the use of that personal name as being of great importance.

What they won't tell you is they feel so strongly about this that they have often replaced the words "God" and "Lord" in the New Testament with "Jehovah" too--even though it was never there. Knowing and worshiping God was important, but there is no indication that in Jesus' day anyone considered the pronunciation of this Hebrew name to be important.

    2. what do jehova witness believe happens after death?

They believe that the dead are really dead, meaning they do not believe that a spirit drifts out of the body and lives on. They will cite Ecclesiastes 9:5, which reads, "For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten." [New World Translation] This subject is closely related to the one you address in your next question.

    3. what do jehova witness mean about the split between the soul and the spirit?

As a JW I was taught (and, as an elder, taught others) that the soul was not what the religions of Christendom taught it was. Two words are translated "soul" in English speaking Bibles: the Hebrew word "nephesh" and the Greek word "psyche." JWs teach that these words mean "the body in a living state" or "the life a person enjoys." So JWs believe that when you're dead, you're dead. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. But they believe that your prospects for future life remain, in that God will keep you in His memory, and you may be resurrected when the time comes for that.

They teach that the words usually translated into the English "spirit" are the Hebrew "ruah" and the Greek "pneuma." They basically mean "wind" or "breath," and this has reference to the breath that God once breathed into the first human being that gave him (and subsequently the rest of humankind) life. JWs teach that a person does not "have" a soul--but that he or she "is" a soul. They recognize though that humans "have" spirit--as long as they are alive--and that, in a sense, that spirit (or "life force") "goes out" from the person when he or she dies.

    4. and how can i get one of the little booklet about pay attention to daniel phophecy?

    5. and do they have anything online that i could look at some of the material inside the book( pay attention to daniel the phophecy)?

You can get the "Pay Attention to Daniel's Prophecy" book from the Kingdom Hall--or by asking one of Jehovah's Witnesses to bring you one. I don't know if any considerable portion of it is available online. The good majority here, however, would caution you not to become involved with this group. We have horrific stories of how the Watchtower Society (the controlling authority of JWs) has devastated many, many of our lives--and how they, in our educated opinion, are NOT what they purport to be, namely "the sole channel of communication from God to the rest of the planet." The JWs you may know are usually very nice people. They've just been deceived like the rest of us were for so very long--and are afraid to give themselves permission to give the organization an unbiased investigation. Why? Because of threats not to do so from the Watchtower Society itself.

The decision is, of course, yours. But if you decide to study with Jehovah's Witnesses, do yourself *one* favor. Do not EVER let them keep you from examining ALL of the information available about them. Any attempt to seek your dedication to their organization while keeping you from hearing what those who've left have to say is an unfair and evil form of manipulation and deception.

    Pammy:

    1. what is the amology of yaway?

What`s an amology? I was raised a JW, and I`ve never heard that expression before.

    2. what do jehova witness believe happens after death?

Nothing. They believe that we have no soul, just a body. What the Bible calls "spirit" is believed by JWs to be only "breath", as they believe that when God created Adam, he blew "breath" into his body, not soul, just "breath". So when a person dies, that`s it, there`s just nothingness, or "eternal sleep". Eventually the person will be ressurected. They fail to see that ressurection is impossible without a soul. If there was no soul, or at least no "surviving entity", a "place" where the memories were restored, whatever you want to call it, there woul be no ressurection, just recreation. Consquently, the ressurected person would not be the same person that was buried. The WTS`s stand on this issue has no historical basis, both the Pharisees and the early christians believed in the soul AND the ressurection. Acts 7:59 They continued to stone Stephen while he prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!” The point is that the WTS has a tradition of trying to spearate itself from all doctrines of the rest of christianity, because they are so "special".

    3. what do jehova witness mean about the split between the soul and the spirit?

Split between soul and spirit? I`m not sure what that means either. There is no split between soul and spirit, JWs don`t believe in the soul.

    4. and how can i get one of the little booklet about pay attention to daniel phophecy?

Why on earth would you want that book? Daniels prophecy (as well as Jeremiah) is the cornerstone in their 1914-doctrine. There are numerous threads on this board about this doctrine. Just read anything that has 607 vs 587 on it. The 1914-doctrine is just crap, it`s based on a very simplified and stupid interpretation of Daniel and Jeremiah.

    5. and do they have anything online that i could look at some of the material inside the book( pay attention to daniel the phophecy)?

The JWs have nothing online, except their official website. Pretty soon, if you continue studying with them, you will be told that the internet is evil, and that you should stay away from it. They wouldn`t want you to study this issue to deeply anyways, they would only want you to read the book. If you were to learn to much about the Bible (that is, learning about the Bible without their "guidance"), you would soon realise that their interpretations are wrong. There is no "day for a year"-rule in neither Daniel or Jeremiah. The Temple was destroyed in 587, not 607. Their entire interpretation of Daniel is ridicolous. You should not continue your studies with the JWs before you have learned a lot more about their religion. Look around this website first, read thru thread. Good luck.

Pammy, as one who has been associated with the witnesses for many years I recomend that you research their past history carefully before making any decisions on joining the group. The Witnesses are very friendly when they come to your and their love seems unquestionable at their weekly program of meetings. One will find though in short time that this love is merely alot of play acting and it is a very conditioned love. The condition being soley on ones loyalty to the Watchtower organization. If one does not meet or can no longer give such loyalty, a loyalty rivaling ones own loyalty to god, to a man made and run organization, then one quickly discovers that all the Watchtower memberships love was very conditional. The close witness companions you thought you had will in effect cut you completely off, and they will be instructed by thier leadership not to even utter a greeting to you.

This is very contrast to the picture the bible paints about how Jesus treated his followers, and where he instructed their loyalty to lie. Loyalty belongs to God and not to a earthly organization, but you will soon discover that many will pressure you to take allegiance to an earthly organization, namely the Watchtower society. In fact one of their baptismal questions prompts canidates to take such an unbiblical allegiance to the Watchtower organization. The bible clearly shows the Watchtower organization occupying a position it has no right too, that being a leader, when the leader is rightly Christ. Please carefully research first before you seriously undertake a study of their doctrine in one of their publications, it is best to know both sides while you can. Once you begin to study they will quickly discourage your research of any material other then their own, in this way one cannot make an unbiased choice because they tilted the scales in their favour.

A good place for starting an unbiased search on the Watchtowers record of truthfullness is on this very site. Another honest glimpse into the Watchtowers supreme counsel is a book entitled "Crisis of Conscience" which can be purchased online. Like I stated earlier the Witnesses are generally swell people who earnestly believe what they are told by their leadership but this in itself does not prove them correct in their reasoning.
