Press Release From The Watchtower Bible And Tract Society
Dear Brothers
We felt it necessary, after prayerful consideration, to write this letter of apology to all congregations with regard to the society’s failed predictions of Armageddon.
Many have raised concerns over the changes in biblical understanding that occur from time to time, and the implications this has on whether we have “the truth” at this current moment.
Well, the truth is, brothers, we haven’t got a clue. We’re good people really, trying our best to present “the truth” to you. We’re constantly studying the bible and doing research to adjust our beliefs in an on-going manner and hope, one day, that we will come up with the ultimate truth.
However, we can’t have just anybody doing this research, no, for God is a God of order, not of disorder. For this reason, we will continue to dissfellowship anyone expressing doubts in our beliefs, even though these beliefs may change.
