    THIS FRIDAY - YAY!!!

If you live anywhere near Portland, Oregon. Or, if you are coming to the Portland Apostfest Nov 5th, here's another activity to consider.

Be there at 9:00 or 9:30am Friday morning for the 10:00 am opening. All the great stuff goes really fast. By the end of the day it's just ... leftovers.

The annual Catlin Gabel Rummage Sale is held the first weekend in November and is one of the largest rummage sales in the world. The Sale fills 88,000 square feet at the Portland Expo Center. The 60-year-old tradition is the School's largest volunteer activity, engaging hundreds of volunteers primarily during the Rummage week, but also in year round sorting and organizing. The Sale raises well over $240,000 with the proceeds benefitting student financial aid. The Rummage Sale ties the School community together in a week of camaraderie and shared objectives. The Rummage Sale is a "can't miss" experience!

The annual post-sale event on Sunday, November 6, is open by invitation only to nonprofit organizations and recyclers. If you would like to learn more about the post-sale, please visit the post-sale page.

If you have an affiliation with Catlin Gabel and are interested in volunteering to work at the 2005 Rummage Sale, please fill out the Rummage Volunteer Form.

Just be careful in purchasing second hand objects. Wouldn't want anyone to bring in a demon infested lite-brite or a possessed teapot cozy.

Thankfully, I don't like Lite Bright nor Teapot Cozies!
