    Hey All,

Gina, Zach and I built paper skeletons today. We downloaded a template, printed it out, cut out the bones, and pinned them together with tiny clippy pins. You could use glue or tape, but the pins let the skeletons stay posable.

Here's the template if you want to make your own: http://thebentinel.com/bones.gif

    And here's the result!

As you can imagine, Gina's is the more creative one, mine is the middle one, and zach's is the "mutant" one. (He was very excited to make a mutant skeleton!)

Ha ha, the one on the right is cute. How old was the child that put it together. If the printer was hooked up, I'd have my grandsons doing that this afternoon.

    Hi Flying,

Zach just turned 7 last June. Like Dave said, he had a lot of fun. And it's a time we can remind him that if we were still in the bOrg. he wouldn't have been able to do this. Just another way of teaching him to be careful with controlling religions.

Last week we did footprint ghosts...that was fun. But a bit messier. But if you wanna try, you take white poster paint and paint it on the bottom of their feet. Have them to step down on black construction paper...or any color for that matter, but we chose black. Make sure you have paper towels on hand so you can wipe their feet right after the footprint is done. Then, on the heel of the footprint, have the child make funny eyes and a scarey mouth. We did this with our 1 yr. old as well and she had a blast. But of course I painted the face of the ghost for her. And when they grow up, you have a footprint to show them.

How dare you call that poor skeleton a mutant! Imagine if your child was born that way. In all seriousness though, they look pretty cool and I'll bet you had a blast making them. They look like something my wife would do with the kids.

i think Zach's is right on! i see a little biologist in the making!

(insert sermon on multi-dimensional genetic space as the child's eyes glaze over and they throw the glue bottle at my head)
