Proving once again that disasters bring people of differing faiths together, Frank A. Grisanti (A CATHOLIC) restaurants delivered food to sustain the 100 volunteers packing food and supplies for Katrina victims at the Jehovah's Witness assembly hall , 400 N. Cleveland.

well, to be fair they also printed what the jw's have done for themselves..

Jehovah's Witness elder Dennis Taylor, a Bolivar, Tenn., resident, said that his organization has formed a network linking with other Witnesses in Baton Rouge and Mobile to determine changing needs and the means to supply them.

His group has sent 210,000 pounds of supplies using donated semitrucks and trailers, 30,000 pounds of cleaning supplies, 4,300 gallons of gas, 1,800 gallons of diesel fuel, two 30K and two 70K generators used to power buildings and 5,000 square feet of building supplies.

"We average about 100 volunteers per day with a total of about 2,000," said Taylor. "Our workers really appreciated the wonderful meal that Frank Grisanti's restaurants provided on Sunday."

no mention of what the jw's have done for anyone of any other faith though. but at least they said they appreciated the meal.

Candy, that sounds like the guy rattled off a supply list for a circuit assembly. *LOL*

We can only hope that acts of kindness like this, will open the eyes of at least some Witnesses and make them see that people of other religions are not the Spaw of Satan-----they love their fellow man and are charitable, just like Jesus said we should be.
