    yesterday my mobile phone answered a text message on its own. I was driving pulled over answered another one and went to the first one to answer and it had already been done two minutes early with the answer i would have given.

    i don't know much about these sort of things is this possible? it probably is. Any ideas how? I suppose i'm sort of fishing, has anyone had this sort of thing?

    There are auto-answer features in Android to respond to texts when driving. Did it say something like 'I'm driving right now and will reply later?'

    I'm sure Apple has something similar.

    A Windows phone would probably lock up when trying to do something as complex as receiving a text or else explode causing a crash.

    Ahh, its windows. That makes sense. Microsoft always knows how to bury their funny little settings. Go to the settings of your phone, and then open the Messaging interface. Scroll down about 2/3 of the way. Uncheck the check box titled, "Do random retarded things." Save.

    If that doesn't work, you can always stop all outgoing automatic messages by turning the phone 45 degrees to the left, so that the bottom left corner of the phone is pointed directly down to the floor. Then, in one swift move, let go. Do this at least two meters above the floor for better results.

    Just kidding... I kid, I kid... I couldn't resist..

    Thanks for the replies,

    This is what happened and the only explanation that i can come up with. The FB account was just coincidence.

    I recieved a text message from and i usually don't reply straight away anyway. I was busy as well I had about a 30 minute drive to where i was going and on the way i recieved another text. the phone was basically on silent and the music was very loud.

    I arrived at my destination and done a u turn parking in a small lay-by on a country road. stopped the car grabbed the phone to reply. but it had a 1 on the messages tile I have another message. read the message and replied went to reply to the first message and jumped out of my skin as it had been answered about 2 minutes earlier.

    I can only think that i must have typed the message before i left and had a senior moment and not sent it picking up the phone somehow i sent it.

    The only problem i have with that is that when i first looked at the time it was sent it was sent as i was driving. Now it shows it was sent at the same time as my other reply. I'm 100% sure as i text someone and told them.

    @Ucantnome,

    I suspect that you are fine. Perhaps it was a mistake, perhaps you "butt-texted" ... who knows. I would be surprised if your phone is hacked. You are probably OK. But if it makes you feel better, simply test it out. Have someone you know text you several times while your phone is right in front of you. Programs aren't generally intelligent (that is, if you are hacked and you have a program doing this on your phone, it won't be smart enough to know you are looking directly at it and watching it).

    :)
