    Hello,

I wonder if you'll be able to give the

    answer...day /month/year!!!

I'm sure that you all had the "CORRECT ANSWER "

    but just in case

    here is the precious pearl:

*** yw 331-2 13 The Present Happiness at the Sanctuary ***

In 1914, when Michael stood up, the war in heaven

was begun to oust the Devil

    and his demons.

He was defeated by Michael, and there is Scriptural reason to believe

that by the time of the annual celebration of the Lord’s

evening meal on March 26, 1918, Satan the

Devil was hurled down to the earth.

    Astonishing ...!

    G'day Mac,

I have wondered about this for many years, even when giving talks in the congregation and at assemblies/conventions about the events in heaven around 1914.

The way I understand it, after Jesus was enthroned in 1914, he went to war against Satn the Devil and the demons and he (Jesus) prevailed. Satan and his demon hordes were cast out of heaven to wage awr against the holy ones (anointed remnant) in earth, because he knew his time was short.

The problem I had with understanding this, is that the Gentile Times eneded in October 1914. Satan must have been cast out of heaven after that date. After that time he fomented trouble on the earth. But, wait a moment, when did WW1 start? Wasn't it around the middle of 1914? This means the demons under Satan concocted a diversionary tactic in the form of WW1 to take attention off the invisible kingdom's establishment in heaven, because WW1 started EARLIER than the conclusion of the Gentile Times. How logical is that? It would be more logical for WW1 to start AFTER the end of the Gentile Times and AFTER the Kingdom's establsihment.

    Don't you think so?

Of course, logic has nothing to do with it. In the past it concerned me, but now it doesn't because I don't doubt that the 1914 chronology and its significance are suspect, at least.

The Bible quotes Jesus as saying, "I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning." (Luke 10:18) Jesus said he saw Satan fall. Past tense. The context confirms this understanding. For Christ's very next words were giving his disciples authority "over all the power of the enemy." Their "enemy," of course, was Satan. So, when did Satan fall from his "heavenly" position as earth's most powerful ruler? When Jesus Christ was anointed king at his baptism. The idea that Christ was not enthroned until 1914 is absolutely ridiculous. For Rev. 3:21 quotes the resurrected Christ as saying, "I sat down with my Father on his throne." Past tense. And Matt. 28:18 quotes Jesus as saying, "All authority has been given me in heaven and on earth." Present tense. (See also Eph. 1:20-23) Rev. 1:5 calls the resurrected Christ, "The ruler of the kings of the earth." Present tense.

JWs tell us that Rev. 12 was, at the time of its writing, describing events in the far distant future. However, I believe that most of the word pictures in Rev. 12 should be understood as foundational, depicting events which had, at the time of Revelation's writing, already taken place. These include the birth, death, and resurrection of Christ, as well as his having already been given "all authority in heaven and in earth," including complete authority over Satan the devil.

So when was Satan cast out of heaven? At the time he fell from the position of power he previously held. At the time his rule of the earth began to be seriously challenged by "the kingdom of God," a kingdom made up of Jesus Christ and his followers. In 29 AD. When was Jesus Christ enthroned as king over all earth? The Bible clearly indicates that this event occurred no later than the time of his resurrection. In 33 AD. The JW teaching that Christ became king in 1914 AD was obviously only created to avoid admitting that their predictions that Christ would return in that year were simply total misunderstandings of the scriptures.

    Ozziepost,
I remember studying this with an elder and DO and bringing up the point about WW1 starting in August 1914 and GT's ending in October 1914.They had no answer to it except to say that it was a trick by Satan to divert attention from the GT's ending...[8>]
It makes as much sense now as the 'diabolical mimicry'in advance by Satan proposed by early Christian apologists regarding the remarkable number of similarities in the life experiences and death of Jesus compared with other pagan godmen. After considering this, one certainly reads Celsus's critique of Christianity in a different light.

The idea that Satan was hurled down to the earth in the 1st Century is non-Biblical.

After Jesus was resurrected, he was to be at the right hand of God, waiting, until his enemies were made a stool for his feet. Obviously, there would be a waiting period before that happened.

Revelation, furthermore, associates the expulsion of Satan from heaven in conjunction with the establishment of the kingdom and thus the end of the gentile times which didn't occur until at the time of his second coming.

Therefore, while Jesus could anticipate Satan falling from heaven, that was prophetic assurance of when that would occur later.

As far as the exact date Satan was ousted from heaven, per the eagle-anointed class (JIOR) it was December 25, 1992, the Biblically correct date for the end of the gentile times per the 7 times prophecy when you correctly date the fall of Jerusalem in 529BCE; and sorry, that IS the right date unless you want to debate me about it, in which case you will lose, I have my research complete in that area.

Anyway, Jesus was not to come until near the END of the last generation, not the beginning.... 1992 is the correct date. 1914 is a bogus date based upon revised ancient history.
