    Watchtower’s Version of “Truth”

Today I added a new article to my blog addressing the Watchtower organization’s yeartext banner of “Your word is truth”. If God’s word is truth then anything said by Watchtower that is not true is not the word of God.

In July 2009 the Watchtower organization instructed Witness children to plan response to particular questions. Watchtower supplied the questions and answers, and Witness children were to cut the page out and keep it to share with others. This information contained a very dangerous piece of falsehood.

My article is titled Watchtower’s Version of “Truth” and is available at: http://marvinshilmer.blogspot.com/2012/05/watchtowers-version-of-truth.html

I got an email about this blog article from someone presenting themselves as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. It read:

“our gb would never leave us to take ANYTHING dangerous from blood. your a LIAR!”

Whether the sender is what they purport can be questioned, but the sentiment is something the Watchtower organization subtly teaches the Witness community. It leads Witnesses to think what they take from blood is entirely safe without any risk and what is forbidden from blood is dangerous and medically unnecessary.

In this particular case Watchtower aims its 2009 misinformation squarely at children, which only makes it more outrageous!

Wow, Marvin, the delusion continues .............

All I can think is that their audacities & failures are kept so well hidden that the average naive dub misses them!

Their trust and unsophistication makes them sitting ducks for any old CULT to come along and abuse them!!!

I also was a SUCKER like these!

" There the eating of blood is equated with idolatry and fornication, things that we should not want to engage in "______Reasoning of the scriptures book page 71 paragraph one

" Similarly, any food to which whole blood or even some fraction has been added should not be eaten "______Reasoning of the scriptures book page 71 paragraph two

" Is a transfusion really the same as eating blood?

To use a comparison, consider a man who is told by the doctor that he must abstain from alcohol. Would he be obedient if he quit drinking alcohol but had put it directly into his veins ?"_________Reasoning of the scriptures book page 73 paragraph one

" As for the various fractions derived from those components and products that contain such fractions the bible does not comment on these. Therefore, each witness makes his own personal decision on such matters"______Awake August 2006 pages 11-12

Are they sayin' if people died needlessly it is their own fault ???? because they choose not to take fractions from blood products????

Shall I ask who's the liar?????

If the Bible did not comment on this, it was not from God, But from Brooklyn and folks died needlessly

If Blood is equated with Idolatry and fornication, what fraction of Idolatry and fornication are we allowed to do ????

we all would love the answer to that question

If the Bible did not comment on this, it was not from God...

That statement is all the more true given that Watchtower's comment is demonstrably false. Even at the mouth of one of its own medical doctors is Watchtower's comment false.

" As for the various fractions derived from those components and products that contain such fractions the bible does not comment on these."

Where does the Bible comment on "those components" that WT says are banned? (i.e. the four major components)

You're right. This is so much double talk. It'd be funny if it wasn't so life threatening.

I wonder how they would weasel out of this text: John 15:13 "No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his soul in behalf of his friends." How could it be OK, nay, praiseworthy, to surrender your whole soul, but be wicked to merely give just a portion of it? (But also be OK if a worldly person gives it - blood, that is.)

On the other hand, if one accepts the arguement that blood for medicine is banned by the Bible, then, the WT teaching on fractions is really a repudiation of basic Christian teachings such as these:

Mt 5:21, 22 (Where Jesus condemns the small feelings and acts [fractions, as it were] leading to murder)

Mt 5:27, 28 (Where Jesus condemns the smaller acts that lead to adultery)

Mt 23:20 "Therefore he that swears by the altar is swearing by it and by all the things on it" (The context [vss.16 - 22] involves Jesus' condemnation of the Pharisees view of what is holy in the temple and what is not.)

They've become like the murderer who has to keep murdering to cover over the past murders.
