    The info under 'Customs' and 'Structure' screams man-made religion! It would be great if everyone knew this info before studying with the JWs. Reading it now after having been away for a while, its understandable why folks never opened the door.

    Also, I've learned more about the history of the JWs after leaving than my many years in the org. You can only wonder how many others fall into the same category?

    Under the beliefs section when they talk about disfellowshipping they make this statement:

    Elders disfellowship 50,000 to 60,000 Witnesses around the world every year. Each year, however, 30,000 to 40,000 are reinstated having "come back to their spiritual senses".

    I wonder what the source for those stats are, and how they would affect the analysis of the yearly reports? Are reinstated ones counted as growth? If 30-40,000 are reinstated does this mean that the number of genuine new recruits is smaller than we think?
