I'm trying to put something together to post on the site here, and am looking for a bit of extra info.

What records do the local cong. and the HQ keep on a publisher? Here's what I have so far:

-record from the "Theocratic Ministry School"
-records related to field service and all reports
-documents about disciplinary action (past and pending)
    -home address and telephone number

Is there anything else? Thanks in advance!

    kwin,

Your avatar is very disturbing and in my opinion defeats alot of the purposes the board offers for childs abuse victims and survivors.

Blondie has it pretty much wrapped up, barring any personal correspondance that didn't make the shredder.

    sKally:
IMHO that's taking political correctness to extremes. What do you find offensive about the avatar?

    To add to the list:

    Kept at HQ/Branch office

Application forms for special assignment/service such as International construction, quick build teams etc - these are completed by the elders with comments of recommendation or not recommended and why.

When you change congregations, the previous congregation sends a letter about you to the new congregation's body of elders. I would imagine that letter is a "keeper", too. Though I would bet it stays at the local level, no copies to Brooklyn.

Kwin, love your avatar! I got the joke right away...I too would rather my kids get hold of playboy or maxim. There is at least an honest quid pro quo there.

Don't forget the "word of mouth" slander when your elders call your new Hall and fill those elders in verbally on what your "spiritual " needs are, all in the name of LOVE. That too follows from hall to hall. When you visit your new prospective hall, the "friendly elders" are so nice and warm, and can't wait until you get there. You arrive and all of a sudden the feelings change toward you. Ever wonder why? Your records haven't even arrived yet. One elder we know told us he did this to a brother who wasn't helping his wife with the children like he should. When he arrived at his new hall, those elders "counseled" him instead of welcomed him. He was NOT HAPPY.

I've seen it happen TOOOO many times.

Ok I don't get it. What does a kid with a bad hair cut have to do with Maxim or Playboy? Can someone clue me in? No Apologies
