Re: How To Force Sheep To Think (Strategy)

    Dear all

I've been thinking (yup, sometimes I do try):

Has anyone ever thought of getting a non-witness friend (preferably, someone who knows some Witness theology and has a credible knack at acting) to pose as an interested person to some unsuspecting JWs, initiate a bible study and then by means of frequent post-biblestudy get-togethers with our accomplice, instruct our partner in crime how to ask the tough questions?

The actor must have a good reason for wanting to spend so much time and effort over this little project though. He/She must have some very strong personal incentives for wanting to do so.

The victims should preferbaly be not serving on the body of elders. Better to start with the easier ones first. The aim is to get the Bible conductor to think. Most elders would not be so inclined to question themselves. Something about the long-term effect of power on men, if you ask me.

But do you guys think it could work? Criticisms?

    I think it's a good idea.

In fact it's happening here right now...

My friend and her husband studied with an interested family (husband, wife, together they have 5 children).

Since a few months, my friend and I learned that the WTBTS is not what it seems, and the truth is not true.

My friend stopped with the bible study,(she didn't explain WHY at that time) but the family wanted to go on. They asked my friends husband to bring the PO to do the biblestudy with them.

After a while my friend told this family why she didn't want to teach them how to be JW anymore.

They understood, and were shocked about what they learned. But instead of quitting they decided to go on, and now every week they do exactly what you suggested in you post above: They ask questions, especially about those things like: 144.000, faithful&disc. Slave, 607, 1914 and so forth.

After the PO explains they say: OH, WE cannot understand that from what's in the Bible...

Or they say: It's just not there! It's not in the bible!

They want to use other translations instead of NWT.

So we do hope this PO will start to be a thinking christian. If he has to explain things over and over again, maybe he will realise it's just bulls..t

They can ask all the questions we can't, because they're not baptised. And they DO ask all the questions!!

Because it's wintertime and the PO is pioneering, we expect he will continue this bible study at least until spring... :-)

    That's a great story, hideme!

That family didn't even need to be told what to do! All they needed was some information and some common sense.

That PO's situation made we ponder: Isn't it ironic that most Witnesses would have once questioned the inconsistencies when they were Bible studies, but no longer do so because they have been heavily sedated from too much "walking with God and His organization"? They would never themselves question or allow any "deviants" to question, but with Bible studies? Who would expect the prey to become a predator right?

And it's not like JWs can shun interested ones. Cos if they did, they would not get anywhere with their ministry!!!

I think it would be a good way to sow the seeds of doubt in the minds of JWs, but has to be a good actor to play the part. Perhaps also some ex JWs from other countries or distant parts of the same country can play the role.

How about, designing an informational tract about all the BS the WTS teaches including the NGO thing, the Malawi incident, the Blood issue, and doing a campaign within our neighborhoods or maybe place them with anyone we come across, and just say something like this:

You - "Hi my name is so and so, have you ever heard about Jehovah's Witnesses, you know, those people that knock on you door on Saturday or Sunday mornings?

Householder or person you meet - Yes, those people really drive me crazy, I keep telling them I already go to my own church and they still keep coming over, giving me those stupid magazines where all the people have this scary dazed look on their eyes, I just trash them, really.

You - "Well, that's why I'de like to give you this tract with information about this cult, if you want to help awaken these people, first read it yourself with your family so if they come into contact with any of these people they will already know the truth about them, then you can make a copy of this tract and hand it to all your relative and you can even scan it, and send it to anyone you know, you will really be helping to put a stop to this movement as it is harming alot of people and causing the deaths of innocent children because of the no blood issue, then when Jehovah's Witnesses knock on you door all you have to do is either envite them in and tell them that you will agree to listen to them but first you would like to discuss the issues on the Tract, or you can just hand it to them at the door, what do you say?

Householder or person you meet - Wow, I would love that! Thanks!

This would move very quickly and help in informing people so they do not join and hopefully it might enlighten the JW's at the door, either way it takes away from more people joining and being affected by this religion.

Me personally... I draw great satisfaction.. from "sharing" what I know, and "turning the tiger loose". It helps them apply what they have learned in everyday life. You willnever see me write a "watchtower of my own opinions" and start distributing them. If I ever do please bring it to my attention. I want to rescue my family from their clutches as bad as the next person. How loving would it be if I was "lazy" and just wrote all I know down and passed it out? But by "sharing" we have learned and grown together. How can they ask questions to a "tract"? many of the "lost sheep" hold information we don't have yet. The "resistance" is what builds you stronger. Like my dad telling me not to call my mom again. How do I obey that, yet, still keep working toward my goal? I called her mom, and asked to ask for me. I learned something new. I grew stronger, and shared the experience with you. We must always be obedient, but nobody said we have to give up. we all learn from these different experiences, and you do NOT HAVE to share them, they are yours, to do as you see fit. We have to be representives of Jesus, did He every disobey? did the apostles? did Paul? I simply have chosen my path, and I am sticking to it the best I can. That is what this whole thing is about. We want the "promised land" right NOW. What if we need strong minds when we get there to survive? Do You see my point? WE have to build these strong minds, earn them if you will. This I believe is how we are going to "build" them. Overcome "resistance" with "experience". or "speaking like serpents, yet innocent as doves".

the more of these experiences we overcome and share, the stronger we will all become, and at a much faster rate. Please try to keep this in mind, and pray for those challenges to come to you, I do. "for bodily training is good for a little, but Godly devotion is beneficial for all things, as it holds the promise for life now, and that which is to come." 1 Timothy 4:8 I have my orders. But don't worry, if you wuss out, I will try to lift the wieght for you......But THEN I am going to be the one getting stronger, and you will NEVER be able to hold your own against me.

    Your little brother,

    Timothy

You are correct...Lion...That is what the God I serve wants. Not a bunch of spineless, lazy, heartless, cowards. Who obey orders without question. "robots" if you will....I don't believe my God is like that, is yours? That is the question you need to answer.

    your little brother,

    David
