Traffic Jams - We Are ONE BODY

I have just returned from a fairly long weekend of car journeys (about 1000 miles in all).
As I was on the motorway just now, staring at all the lights whizzing around me, something occured to me. First the lights looked like this:

    alt

But then the lights seemed to merge like this :

I was on a road that is known as an "Arterial Road" which combined with the flow of red objects away from me made me think of the system of arteries in our bodies.

In our bodies, the main function of the blood cells is to "collect" oxygen and "deliver" it to the rest of our body.

All over the country, in fact, all over the world, WE as indivuals are whizzing around the closed system in which we exist, "collecting" and "delivering" things to each other.

We may deliver physcial objects or we may deliver information to each other.

The really had an impact on me, it made me consider the fact that we actually are ONE BODY. We are all "cells" in the body.

The important thing is what we collect and deliver :

Blood cells can carry other things besides life giving oxygen - they can carry toxins. In fact, the blood cells PREFER Carbon Monoxide to Oxygen, yet it is lethal.

Just like our blood cells, WE are capable of delivering that which is life giving and that which is toxic. Sometimes the toxic package is the easier one to carry.

So now I will try to ponder the contents of every "package" that I deliver to another being.

Wow! I love it when everything is in a perfect groove and something just "comes to you" like this!

As in the macrocosm, so in the microcosm:

    Macrocosm and microcosm

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Jump to: navigation, search

Macrocosm and microcosm is an ancient Greek schema of seeing the same patterns reproduced in all levels of the cosmos, from the largest scale (macrocosm or universe-level) all the way down to the smallest scale (microcosm or sub-sub-atomic or even metaphysical-level). It may have begun with Democritus in the 5th century BCE or with Pythagoras and is a philosophical conception that runs through Socrates, and Plato all the way to the Renaissance. With Pythagoras, the discovery of the golden ratio and its philosophical conception called the Golden mean, the Greeks observed the golden ratio in many parts of the ordered universe both large and small. Philosophically, the Greeks were concerned with a rational explanation of everything and saw the repetition of the golden mean throughout the world and all levels of reality as a step towards this unifying theory. In short, it is the recognition that the same traits appear in entities of many different sizes, from one man to the entire human population.

Macrocosm/microcosm is a Greek compound of µa???- "Macro-" and µ????- "Micro-", which are Greek respectively for "large" and "small", and the word ??sµ?? kósmos which means "order" as well as "world" or "ordered world".

The last bit of the journey was a 6 hour motorway journey with no radio or CDs etc - there wasn't much else to do except drive and think. Dangerous really

I think of it like this while driving it's very easy to be on auto-pilot, something about the rhythm of the road. Ever pull into your driveway after a long drive and you can't remember the drive home? That's auto-pilot or as the experts describe it the Alpha State. For me it's the best time to solve a problem when I'm in Alpha State and I try to take advantage of it all the time.

About the collecting and delivering I look at it this way when we are in the Alpha State we are in a harmonic vibrational connectedness with the Universe and therefore en-mass with others doing the same thing all connected at the same time. It would make perfect sense to focus on the "package" or thoughts we have towards others while we are in this heightened state.

I don't think I've ever alpha-zoned through an entire drive, but more than a few times I've 'come to' during a drive, confused at not recognising exactly where I was for a second or 2 and then realizing I'd lost several miles. We think too deeply, eh? But it is pretty cool that we have somewhat of an auto-pilot mode - reaction time must be affected tho, maybe.

Anyway, Alpha-Omega - very cool thoughts! You know those commercials that have a picture in a picture in a picture - then the view widens and you see it's a huge picture made-up of all the small ones - looks like millions - each one an intrinsic part of the whole - that's how I've viewed it before. Also, as individual vibrations on wavelengths in an electic universe - the string theory makes perfect sense to me!

But the way you expressed this 'oneness' and the receiving and delivering, good and bad - that is unique and beautifully harmonious - I love it. Thanks for sharing that.

"Alpha state" - I'd forgotten all about that - it's kind of fitting. I guess that I "use" it too but without being aware that that is what I am doing. I'll have to do a bit more reading about that - thank you. Watkins :

I've just been looking at AlphaWaves and found this :

    alpha waves

Alpha waves are oscillating electrical voltages in the brain. They oscillate in the range of 7.5-13 cycles per second. Because alpha waves occur in relaxed states such as meditation and under hypnosis, they have been mistakenly identified as desirable. Alpha waves also occur under unpleasant conditions and when one is not relaxed.* They are not a measure of peace and serenity, nor are they indicative of an altered state of consciousness. Alpha waves are indicative of lack of visual processing and lack of focus: the less visual processing and the more unfocused, generally the stronger the alpha waves. If you close your eyes and don't do any deep thinking or concentrating on vivid imagery, your alpha waves will usually be quite strong.

That's pretty scary considering I was driving !

It seems that this view is not the typical view... more research needed
