Saw the highly touted A.I.
Weak and overrated, I must say.
I've seen the monkey movie.
Tepid and ho-hum. Same o, same o, with Burton's attempt at "darkness".
Lastnight, I went to see babyboy.
Easily, I say easily, the best movie I've seen all summer, but NOT highly publicized.
In America? Something good that isn't given pub and a lesser offering is said to be "all that"? Can't be. Go figure. Not in America
p.s. I don't see many movies much, anymore.
Haven't seen babyboy, but heard it got good reviews. Thanks for the recommendation.

Not the best movie I've seen this year, but a damn good movie.

I agree on Memento too. Very Good, Very different.
Ammores Peres stands out as the best I've seen this year, although as soon as I hit reply, some others will come to mind.

Ghost World is well worth the $7.50 -- you'll love it. For those of us who feel like outsiders (by choice) in this world, it hits very close to home. The performances are perfect. I'll probably see it again, for it was very enjoyable. As I said, only Memento was a better film (so far this year) in my opinion.
