Attention: This has happened in ROMANIA - not Russia. Duh - my fault.

I received this e-mail, and am passing on to y'all. I deleted the last name of William Bl......, as I didn't know whether it would be appropriate or not to put it here. Serves the WTBTS right!

Just a brief note to advise you that I have been invited to Romania by the True Faith Jehovah's Witnessess group to speak to them about the developments in the UK in connection with the Society. They are having a congress (convention) Tirga Mures - about 200 miles north of Bucharest over the weekend.

Some of you may not have heard of this group (I understand there are about 5,000 of them) who broke away from the Organisation following the collapse of communist rule. They had been working underground and were out of touch with Brooklyn for some considerable time, and when they were able to communicate once more they found that the Society had altered its beliefs so much they concluded they had gone apostate! They therefore pulled away and consider themselves (I assume) the one true faith.

I know little more than this...and what can be gleaned from their website http://the-true-jw.oltenia.ro/

It should be interesting to see how much of the Society's views have been ditched and how much are still adhered to.

Back on Tuesday next week. I'll let you know how it went on my return.

As I recall, this group strictly adheres to the teachings of Rutherford, and when they found out what Knorr/Franz did to the organization, they were appalled.

I dunno, I could be wrong. I first came across something like this about 3-4 years ago, and as I recall they were Romanian, and not Russian.

oof, the tranlsation and/or typing on these pages is really bad. dont bother trying to read it thru, its barely worth it. here's a list of there main objections to modern JWs, ways they've 'strayed' from the faith:

1) reverting to the old understanding of Romand 13 'higher powers' - they think the rutherfordian interpretation is crystal-clear!

2) 1975

3) dancing. even privately dancing at home for recreation or exercise is just an utter horror for these guys.

4) head coverings. not ENOUGH head coverings that is. and the women even wear PANTS for god's sake!

5) jewellery

6) widespread immorality, as evidenced by all the DFings.

7) using guns for hunting

8) changes to any of the old prophetic understandings

9) mainstreaming of the awake, general interest articles. they seem to find an awake article about helicopters particularly offensive.

10) dirty and indecent language in modern publications. not really sure what they're talking about here. nothing was more indecent than rutherford's attacks on religion.

The headquarters is in Rumania but Russia, Hungary etc also have members of Truth Faith JWs. If you'll actually take time to read the items of the website you'll see this is so for it speaks of resolutions by delegations from the other nations as well. TFJWs have already been to America and you and the Watchtower will hear more of them.

A day late & a dollar short - my life story. See, if I would have just been quiet (an impossibility for me, btw) - you would have set the matter straight. But being humble (because of my my errors a necessity), I tried to correct it.

However, you did it with much more authority - actually having read the transcript. Thanks for the clarification.

1975 - If they hold that the end came then - then where are we now?
