    Amazing

Last night NBC Dateline aired a program about a man named Barjonah who murdered young boys for several years in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He managed to slip through the system several times, and ended up being 'dumped' on the State of Montana, where he again committed murder. The program also brought out that the Barjonah was a sexual predator, and also suggested that he may have 'eaten' these young boys.

The purpose of the program was to show how even the criminal justice system does not always serve us well, and children continue to be harmed, either sexually or murdered or both.

Ther question is: If the courts have this much difficulty in their procedures, can we now understand how weak and pathetic the Watch Tower Society's procedures and processes are? Such Watch Tower Procedures and Policies virtually shield pedophiles from the law!

Dateline was fair and thorough in their extensive coverage of this issue with respect to the courts and law enforcement. And this program makes an excellent build up to their program in the future regarding pedophiles. As we await the program we have all discussed, it also seems like good idea to stay tuned from here on to see what other related programs Dateline, and perhaps other networks, airs on this topic. - Amazing

The producer of Dateline phoned me this morning. I filled him in on my story and he requested tapes of my court hearings. Watch for the one where my mother states, "he is not a child molester, she was over 12"!!!
Sounds like the filming is going well and there are many who are helping with this issue.

    Amazing,

I saw the show too! And thought the same thing as you...that if a sexual predator could 'slip through' so many holes in the US Justice System, then how much MORE protected would Barjonah have been if he were a JW?!?!

    ((shiver))

Impatiently anticipating the silentlambs Dateline show,

Hi alamb: You make an excellent point. Many people are of the belief that when a girl reaches 12 or 13 or likely puberty, that she is not a child in the same sense as a pre-teen, and thus an act of sex is not considered molestation.

And, to add fuel to this fire, in many states, the statutory laws allow for as much as a 7 year spread between the two parties having sex before it is considered a crime. For example, in one state, a 19 year old young man can have sex with a 13 year old girl and it is considered consentual unless she can prove rape. The issue is, is that it is not treated as statutory rape or sexual molestation.

But other states have reduced this to 3 to 5 years between the parties having sex, and the younger party must be at least 16 or 17 years old. This rule makes a little more sense. It protects, for example, an 18 year old young man or woman who has sex with a partner who is 17 years, 11 months, and 29 days old. But it also is stricter with a 19 year old having sex with a 14 year old.

My thanks to you for supporting Dateline with your situation. I am sure it will have an important impact on the program. - Amazing

Hi Billygoat: You highlight an important aspect and implication for Jehovah's Witnesses and their Watch Tower organization. Child predators, be they murderers, sex abusers, or cannibals, are very expertly smooth and tricky in confusing, deceiving, and playing on the sympathies of the Court, the community, and in slipping and sliding through the system ... they are the ultimate manipulators.

So the Watch Tower organization's policies and procedures are virtually useles and actually serve to shield and protect molesters and at the same time harm and silence the victims. Thanks again. - Amazing
