Hey, I can't see out!

I noticed almost all new Kingdom Halls are without windows, even in neighborhoods that are quite safe and crime free. Why is this? Some have said it's because they do not want you looking out and daydreaming. Others have said it slows down the two day quick build miracles by at least an hour.

My mother may have hit it on the head when she said, "When the time comes it will be easier for them to 'gas' you!"

Does anyone else have an answer or opinion on this building style?

Some ideas for omitting windows in Kingdom Halls:

    1) Savings on building insurance.

    2) Savings on on heating costs in colder areas.

    3) Slight savings on material costs for construction and maintenance (labor is free, so that isn't a reason).

    4) Reduction in noise from exterior sources.

    5) Keeping occupants' minds from wandering during meetings; especially, eliminating the possibility of seeing opposers' signs during meetings.

Number five is doubtful as in the Kingdom Halls I have seen, there have been opaque curtains covering the windows during meetings.
