JWBen said in another post (watchtower redflags):

Some of you strongly disagree that the WTS want let JWs have their own ideas. I will find matterial that shows that they can .

He then emailed me a few days ago asking if I thought he should put it under the original topic, or start a new one. I emailed him back saying I thought he should post it under a New Topic. I waited, and waited and he didn't post his "proof". So I emailed him to ask where it was. No response.

So JWBen, here's your opportunity to show that JWs are allowed to have their own ideas. You assured everyone that you would "find material" from the Organization's own publications and post them here for everyone to see. So where is this proof? We're still waaaaiting.........

Just like those return visits you never get once you give some very specific questions and they say they'll look it up and come back...never happens.

Or then again, maybe he found that there is no "new light" on this one.

LOL! Exactly..........I wonder if JWBen really thought he was going to find something, or if he just decided to ignore the subject when he realized he couldn't come up with anything..........Or, maybe like Jesus, he's returned invisibly....

Intriguing - probably they got cold feet.

I personally in 4 years nearly at this address have only had the witnesses come round once and my partner saw them off before i had a chance. Do you think those of you that have posed questions for them to return and they haven't is because your address is marked? I remember vaguely as a young witness that there would be "do not calls" on the back of the territory maps and then certain doors which only elders would go to.

And has anybody had "shepherding calls" for dfed people? When I was in I remember that a watchtower said something about calling on such ones yearly to see if circumstances hadchanged and they wanted to come back. I have never had one of these. Has the Shepherding Manual changed on this do any ex Elders know?

Am I permanently written off? LOL

Interested on anyone's thoughts or experiences on this matter.

Those are homes of ill-repute (brothels) that the elders frequent and they jus' don't want anyone else knowing about it. They preach to the girls saying "Do you ever think they'll come a time when having sex like this is wrong?"

How do you think they get 2 hours in on Saturday mornings?

I can clearly remember the phrase that made me hate the JW mindset... "avoid independent thinking." I believe it was in the KM and in numerous other places.

Maybe JWBen realized that his statement was not in line with the beliefs of JWs, and therefore corrected himself! ;)

? Why have Jehovah's Witnesses disfellowshipped (excommunicated) for apostasy some who still profess belief in God, the Bible, and Jesus Christ?

    [...]

Approved association with Jehovah's Witnesses requires accepting the entire range of the true teachings of the Bible, including those Scriptural beliefs that are unique to Jehovah's Witnesses.
