I've been out of the truth (tm) for about a year now.
Since that time, I've been slowly rebuilding my relationship with my parents.
I came into the truth (tm) about 15 years ago. And have thrusted them out of my life for most of that time.
I guess I'm just musing on this night.
But I can't tell you how great it feels to rediscover my parents - especially my mom.
When the shit came down, the elders, the CO and my so called friends - were no where in sight.
For years, I bought into that bullshit that "YOUR REAL FAMILY is in the truth (tm)."
I tell you, my Lord had it right when he talked about "having no natural affection."
If I can muse some more here...
The couple I studied with. They always told me about how I was their son and all.
That was total bullshit.
Not to say that there weren't genuine people that I met at the hall.
But say, as a people, that they are someohow better or closer than the brotherhood that you find amongst mankind - is not true.

Anyway, I know what you mean! The Craptower tells JW's to treat all those who do not accept JW-ism, like DF'd persons! However, I'm glad to hear you're getting back with your "real" family! Sorry to hear of any suffering you've had while submitting yourself to the WT-bullies! Best wishes! Love your parents and stick with your natural family as best you can! It sounds like you're on the road to recovery!

I'm just glad my parents are still alive for me to make ammends to them. It sounds like you have loving parents that care for you very much and i am sure they hold no bad feeling. Everyone has regrets and makes mistakes in their life but it take's a real person to admit it and for a loving family to forgive and that is you-re family and you.How wonderful for all of you.
