  I wish to conduct a legitimate poll, or at least as legitimate as it can get on this forum. Unless you are or were a JW, please do not respond or make comments. Please simply give an answer, without extended comments. I will compile the data and provide an analysis when the Poll is concluded. Only one response per person:

  How many child molesters (aka: pedophiles) among JWs have you directly known? This does not mean that you knew them on a personal level, but that you knew the person or at least saw them at some time in your life. It matters not if you were a victim or someone you knew was a victim, just whether they were a molester.

  Just one (or 2 since both fleshly brothers did it?) - and this was hearsay, but being close to/knowing those involved I have no doubt it happened.

  I didn't know of any child molesters.

  An elder's wife told my mom once that there was one in our cong, but wouldn't tell my mom who it was.

  I didn't know any.

  I left by 1965, and I think the problems were fewer back in the earlier days. Either that, or I was naive. I never held a MS position, so I may have been shielded from the problems. My congregation did seem a cut above some, as my wife and I have discussed. Her congregation had many more problems than mine did.
