I was just wondering what deal the WTS made with Patterson to build their complex out there. I thought that the WTS built the community some baseball fields and that they are operating a hotel out there as well. I wonder why they cannot make a similar deal with the Brooklyn community. Anyone know anything about this?

you are corect they also bought a fire truck and some other stuff to get thier building permits
As far as "operating a hotel", I think you may be referring to the Patterson Inn, which isn't really a hotel. Only JWs can stay there, and payment is on a suggested contribution basis.
I think that worked in Patterson because the WTS was the only game in town, or at least the biggest. In Brooklyn, there are too many other developers around for the WTS to be able to give the neighborhood anything they wouldn't get from other sources.
The Irony...Pattersonites are building the ball fields for little leaguers, who are committing the sin of organized sport.
