    Here's a snippet from www.watchtower.org:

Jehovah's Witnesses provide personal and group instruction in the Bible at no charge. If you would like to have a qualified Bible teacher visit you in your home or at some other convenient place, this will gladly be arranged by Jehovah's Witnesses.

    Qualified?

Exactly what qualifications are they referring to? In order to be qualified, a person has to have graduated or completed a recognised course.

The Ministry School? Don't make me laugh! No-one ever qualifies from that.

More deceptive WT spin for the general public.

    Hi Expat,

Qualified means you have pledged allegiance to the Watchtower Society and got a bit wet. This official ordination ceremony means you have passed the test of being able to find the answers in the paragraphs of the course material. (Being able to read is a help but not essential.)

    I hope this helps.

Expat you say "Exactly what qualifications are they referring to? In order to be qualified, a person has to have graduated or completed a recognised course." Well, they have passed a course. Admittedly, this is not really as a Bible teacher, but they are certainly qualified as a WT bs teacher.

    Hello everyone,

A good point to be raised!

I couldn't find better words than Thirdsone:

"Qualified means you have pledged allegiance to the Watchtower Society and got a bit wet. This official ordination ceremony means you have passed the test of being able to find the answers in the paragraphs of the course material. (Being able to read is a help but not essential.)"

Many, ...realize this after a very long time.

    G'day you Brits,

'qualified' in Watchtower-ese means to be approved.

Like so many other words used in the Watchtower publications, there is a hidden meaning to the 'face value' of those words.

How many others can we think of? Care to make a list?

    Cheers,
    Ozzie

G'day Expat. I am new to the board, but I think that qualified means you can find the scriptures used by the Watchtower Society to prove their points.

Pls. see my post re: Ordained Minister ID cards.

JW view is that every baptised person is an ordained minister. This is all the qualification you need!
