Mrs Ozzie and I have been enjoying very different labels this month and this holiday season we have been enjoying a "home brew". And what a great drop it is too!
Sorry you can't buy it in the stores. You see, the skillful winemaking of Bliss's husband has produced the most wonderful shiraz. Who said we didn't have talented people on JWD?
Mr Bliss brings shiraz grapes from South Australia and produces a deep red wine with soft tannins, unoaked, having a medium to full flavoured wine. He tells us that the next batch will be oaked, so we look forward to tasting the difference.
So far this holiday weekend, several magnums have been consumed. Nothing by half-measures, eh? What could be better than discussing ISOCF with refreshments of shiraz?
So, we have been given much pleasure by this delightful wine, but as I said, you won't be able to acquire Shiraz a la Bliss in your local bottle mart, but you could try a Tyrells. They produce a good red. Try it out. If you're in Oz, it's on special for $9.99 a bottle.
