Who knows GB Member Gerrit Lösch?

  I was told that Gerrit Lösch was one of the Nethinim before he became a GB member that means he was not of the annointed. My source told me he felt he was annointed but did not partake from the emblems because of his wife who has the earthly hope. But then he changed his mind and became a GB member.

  Is this true? The w94 11/1 states that "Brother Lösch has served in the Executive Offices and as an assistant to the Service Committee".

  Does anyone know for sure that Lösch was an annoited Nethinim until recently?

  To be a member of the Governing Body, one does not have to necessarily be part of the anointed. They changed that rule some time ago. I believe that about 2/3 of the GB consists of anointed ones and the rest have the earthly hope (all males)...

  While it's true that you don't have to be of the annointed to have a position in the legal corporations, the GB still consists of so-called annointed. Keep in mind that the GB represents the FDS that is the annointed.

  no, they didnt. you might be thinking of the committees, thats what germanjw is refering to by the term 'nethinim.'

  one of the truly fascinating byproducts of witness theology is the situation that develops when one marriage partner thinks they are anointed and the other doesnt. emotionally, the couple can be pulled in all kinds of directions. not to mention the doctrinally implications! think it thru a bit--its bizarre.
