OK, I am new here and want to know who is Vincent?, why did he go underground? and why does this make everybody post lyrics to songs?
Just curious.

The story is long and interesting. In the early days of the board, there was a poster named..Vincent. He was a caring and a loving person but would only post song lyrics. Some speculated that he was insane, others thought him a troll, still others accused him of being a music business shill, here to brainwash us into buying 80's hair rock. The strain was too much for Vincent, and in a withering display of contempt for the board, created one last post named Vincent Goes Underground. All that the thread contained was a single sentence.
Vincent goes underground, underground is where he goes.
Noone knows what happened to Vincent. There were whispers that he had surfaced at another Witness site, but that was quickly disproven. Sightings were also made in Yahoo chat rooms, IRC channels, and even at a few legitimate witness sites. Were these people Vincent? Noone will ever know.
Embarassed and ashamed at the cruelty that had forced our idiot-savant to flee in sorrow, the board established a thread they vowed would never die. So here's to you Vincent. Wherever you are.

Hello apostate man and welcome to the board. I hear from Vincent on a regular basis and he spends much of his time at an art and music forum. Funny Naeb should mention idiot savants. That is the excuse he gave me for leaving-just too many of them. I told him to lose that attitude and come back and visit us. At least long enough to tell Bea about his visit with Trent. Ahhh the Vincent threads. I think it shall be the record (no pun intended) holder for a long time.
To learn about Vincent one must go back to one of the most intelligent and balanced posters here.
The Vincent threads came to be a place of reflection through lyrics, which developed into friendships through music, and ultimately a place of peace at JW.com during the wars.
One might say there has formed a 'Vincent class (tm)' LOL

The Hip was phenomenal BTW. They had a private bash after the concernt with some of the COA sponsors and some atheletes. Got a chance to hang with them for a bit...got a signed drumstick from the band.
Was strange partying with a great rock band who told people to keep it down since their kids were sleeping across the hall!
