The bible has no word or phrase referring to gods “organization”
The insight books, has no specific entry for “organization” though 74 references are made through out the books to “organization”
There are 10,218 references to “organization” in the WitchPickle Magazine
There are also other references made…some are included here.

    Jehovah’s Witnesses-What Do They Believe?
Jehovah’s Witnesses today form an international organization that is completely separate from all other religious organizations. Since we are often misrepresented, it would be a mistake to expect to learn the truth about us from prejudiced sources.

Oh really? Some of the best places to learn about them are right here on this board, from people who have lived through it and experienced being a part of it, don’t you agree?

    *** sm 47 Mankind's Beginning ***
3 However, there was a condition attached to that good relationship: obedience. God expected man to obey him and thus show his submission to the will of his Creator. As God said at a later time, “To obey is better than a sacrifice.” (1 Samuel 15:22) This is reasonable, is it not? In any organization, rules are necessary as is obedience by the members to those rules. Hence, God wanted man to be obedient to the rules he set down.

This no doubt includes “Gods visible earthly spirit directed organization” …A phrase I detest and that makes me want to barf every time I hear it.

    *** br78 3 Who Are They? ***
Actually, Jehovah’s Witnesses are interested in you and your welfare. They want to be your friends and to tell you more about themselves, their beliefs, their organization, and how they feel about people and the world in which all of us live. To accomplish this purpose, they have prepared this brochure for you.

Although they may be sincere, in their convictions, they just want to suck you into their cult. Sentences like the above, are “sauce for the goose”, and make it sound oh-so-perfect.

55 As you associate with Jehovah’s organization, you will find the atmosphere very different from that of temples and churches.

    No…not really.

There is no soliciting of money, no backbiting or quarreling, and no discrimination because of family background or financial standing. The most outstanding quality among Jehovah’s Witnesses is love. First, they love Jehovah, and second, they love other people. These are marks of true Christians. (Matthew 22:37-39; John 13:35)

Oh…pleeease! Ulgh! There is no way I’d agree with this. In my 40 years of indoctrination, I saw ALL of this, and then some. And Love? I’m gonna gag. A lack of love, but certainly there was no true Christian love. Not that I could see. And when I did … it was a rare thing.

You should attend their meetings and confirm this for yourself. No doubt you will be impressed by their unity. There are more than three million Witnesses worldwide in over 200 lands. Yet, Witnesses throughout the earth follow the same programs at their meetings. And because of simultaneous printing in many languages, at their weekly meetings most of Jehovah’s Witnesses throughout the world study the same Scriptural subjects within a few hours of one another. The unity of Jehovah’s organization is a modern-day miracle in this divided world.

    Confirm this!

However, as foretold, a great apostasy began to develop, in the second and third centuries. This resulted in large church systems that did not maintain the purity of the early Christian congregation as regards teaching, conduct, organization, and position toward the world.-Matthew 13:24-30, 37-43; 2 Thessalonians, chapter 2.

Hmmm…shall we discuss the United Nations now ?

    1. Jehovah’s Witnesses had their modern-day start in the 1870’s. At first, they were called Bible Students. But in 1931 they adopted the Scriptural name Jehovah’s Witnesses. (Isaiah 43:10) From small beginnings the organization has grown to millions of Witnesses, who are busy preaching in more than 230 lands.

17 Today, there is a great crowd worldwide consisting of people from different races, language groups, and cultural backgrounds doing just that. They have to cope with the problems of life just as you do, but they deeply appreciate that the best way to find peace and happiness is to take in knowledge of the Creator and exercise faith in him. They make up God’s organization on earth today. Who are these people?

    Cultural backgrounds? Cult Backgrounds. Cults?

24 What “disgusting thing” has been “put in place” in modern times? Apparently, it is a “disgusting” counterfeit of God’s Kingdom. This was the League of Nations, the scarlet-colored wild beast that went into the abyss, or ceased to exist as a world-peace organization, when World War II erupted. (Revelation 17:8) “The wild beast,” however, was “to ascend out of the abyss.” This it did when the United Nations, with 50 member nations including the former Soviet Union, was established on October 24, 1945. Thus “the disgusting thing” foretold by the angel-the United Nations-was put in place.

In due time your appreciation for your heavenly Friend should move you to make an unreserved dedication to God and to symbolize it by water baptism. (Romans 12:1; Matthew 28:19, 20) Making a public declaration to become a baptized disciple of Christ is not something to be taken lightly. It involves ‘disowning yourself’-setting aside personal ambitions and seeking first the interests of Jehovah God. (Mark 8:34) It further involves identifying yourself with the worldwide organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Yes…further is involved…SHUT UP/PUT UP/AND QUESTION NOT THE ORGANIZATIONAL RULES PROCEDURES AND TRIBUAL INQUISITIONS.

    *** rs 34 Apostasy ***
Definition: Apostasy is abandoning or deserting the worship and service of God, actually a rebellion against Jehovah God. Some apostates profess to know and serve God but reject teachings or requirements set out in his Word. Others claim to believe the Bible but reject Jehovah’s organization.

    gimme a break.

    *** rs 35 Apostasy ***
They may claim to serve God but reject his representatives, his visible organization
Jude 8, 11: “These men, too, indulging in dreams, are defiling the flesh and disregarding lordship and speaking abusively of glorious ones. Too bad for them, because they . . . have perished in the rebellious talk of Korah!”

I guess if we speak out against a bunch of old codgers in the oval witchpickle office, we can be likened to Korah, huh? Sheeeesh…I can think of worse things….

    Chapter 23
    God’s Visible Organization
WHY CAN WE be certain that God has a visible organization? One reason is that he has an invisible organization.

Ok Ok I give up. This kind of logic is a killer. I surrender. How did I fall victim to this for 40 years? Gimme a white jacket and a rubber room guys….I’m gonna go off the deep end.

Oh wait, that’s right…I already did.

6 What was the situation in the first century? The Bible shows that Jehovah’s favor was upon the followers of his Son Jesus Christ. Jehovah poured out his holy spirit upon them. To show that he was now using this Christian organization rather than the nation of Israel, he gave certain early Christians power to heal the sick, raise the dead and to perform other miracles. You cannot read the Christian Greek Scriptures without being impressed by the fact that Christians were organized for worship. In fact, they were commanded to meet together for this purpose. (Hebrews 10:24, 25) So if you were a true worshiper of Jehovah in the first century, you had to be a part of his Christian organization.

What First Century Organization? Whats wrong with me? Did I miss that part in my bible, or is mine the only one that doesn’t say that? Help me out here. I’m falling……falling….falling….

7 Did Jehovah ever use more than one organization during any period of time? In Noah’s day only Noah and those with him inside the ark had God’s protection and survived the floodwaters. (1 Peter 3:20) Also, in the first century there were not two or more Christian organizations. God dealt with just the one. There was just the “one Lord, one faith, one baptism.” (Ephesians 4:5) Likewise in our day Jesus Christ foretold that there would be only one source of spiritual instruction for God’s people.

ULGH! Again witht his “stuff”. I need another beer. This is to much for a sober person to grasp.

*** pe 255 30 What You Must Do to Live Forever ***
14 Do not conclude that there are different roads, or ways, that you can follow to gain life in God’s new system. There is only one. There was just the one ark that survived the Flood, not a number of boats. And there will be only one organization-God’s visible organization-that will survive the fast-approaching “great tribulation.” It is simply not true that all religions lead to the same goal. (Matthew 7:21-23; 24:21) You must be part of Jehovah’s organization, doing God’s will, in order to receive his blessing of everlasting life.-Psalm 133:1-3.

Yeah yeah yeah, I know, follow “Jehovah Gods Visible spirit directed earthy Organization” or go straight to hell in a hand basket.

In the next breath they'll admit that "God's" organization is made up of imperfect people who fall short, just like the rest of the "world". Shit happens.

Fred,is it true that the JWs systematically distorted the Bible to make it fit your preconceived beliefs?

  • DakotaRed
    DakotaRed

Out of all religions I have looked into over my 53 years of life, the JWs are the least loving of them all.

They are probably the most "cliquish" of them all.

They go so far to show off what they perceive as "humility" they draw excessive atention to themselves. In fact, most JWs I knew were the proudest of their humility.

Along with their phony humility goes their arrogance!

How arrogant to actually preach you are going to be the only group saved, then deny it at the same time!

How cowardly to put out words to all the worldwide congregations on how to live and handle situations. Then when it all goes wrong, slide out from under those some ones struggling to live by your rules by saying they misapplied your silly assed rules in the first place!

How deceptive to claim for so many years, and actually brag, that you have and support no clergy class when all along, you instituted a network of power hungry ass kissers and placed them over all the congregations and give them absolute power over the rank and file members. All the while encouraging rank and file to lean on them and seek them out to deal with and solve their problems, yet do nothng but instill misguided beliefs and nonsense in your duly appointed clergy class to help those same rank and file members.

How utterly ridiculous that preach love and forgiveness, yet teach nothing but loathing and hatred of others and rip families apart with your archaic practice of shunning (which if really researched was never biblically based anyway).

How low to claim to be "God's Organization" which would have to be perfect, yet all the while excuse your numerous mistakes and misteachings and changing light as claims of "Imperfect Men." Yet, with the "Great Multitude" of vague rules, you place standards of perfection on others and randomly impose them to silence any dissent or questioning.

No, been there, done that, bought the tee shirt and recently burned it! No thanks.

It is Almighty God that you will answer to and answer you will!

    Chapter 23
    God’s Visible Organization

-You cannot read the Christian Greek Scriptures without being impressed by the fact that Christians were organized for worship.-

Oh really? My bible gives me the impression that there were many people who were enjoying a direct relationship with God through Christ and freedom from a legalistic form of worship. The unmatured apostles were the ones who were initially concerned with setting up another exclusive God club.

Luke 9:49, 50 - "Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name and we tried to prevent him because he does not follow along with us'. But Jesus said to him, 'Do not hinder him; for he who is not against you is for you' ". - NASB

Sounds like Jesus was very trusting toward those who loved him and his message and didn't fear lack of organization structure. If the Society is right about the early organization of Christians, then it must have been Jesus who started the apostasy.....which of course is absurd!

    *** je 7 The First-Century Christian Congregation ***
However, as foretold, a great apostasy began to develop, in the second and third centuries. This resulted in large church systems that did not maintain the purity of the early Christian congregation as regards teaching, conduct, organization, and position toward the world.-Matthew 13:24-30, 37-43; 2 Thessalonians, chapter 2.

Yes, the apostasy did result in large church systems that did not maintain purity of teaching. Consider:

    quote:

    "Faith in Jehovah's Victorious Organization"
    The Watchtower, March 1, 1979, page 12
'Stay Awake and Keep Your Senses'
And while now the witness yet includes the invitation to come to Jehovah’s organization for salvation, the time no doubt will come when the message takes on a harder tone, like a “great war cry." The Watchtower, December 1, 1981, page 21.

It's funny, I don't recall any scriptures telling people to come to Jehovah's organization for salvation". My bible tells people to come to Christ for salvation.

To accomplish this purpose, they have prepared this brochure for you.

Yes indeed. They want to tell you all about themselves.....for hours on end. They want you to know about the great publishing house they have built. You can watch their videos that endlessly praise themselves for their printing ingenuity and construction capabilities.

You can experience for yourselves how they fel about people as soon as you try to extract an emotion or try to get close to someone, or disagree with a doctrine. Yes, it will be very clear when your family shuns you because you no longer tow the party line. Then you will discover how they feel about the world in which they live and how they care for your welfare.

Yes hear them choke when they read these words:

Rom. 14: 10 - "But you why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God" NASB

When you have fully experienced the organization in all its splendor, although you have read a
scripture a thousand times, they will take on a life of their own and slap you up side your head:

Matthew 23:3,4, 28 – Therefore all that they tell you, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds; for they say things and do not do them. They tie up heavy burdens and lay them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves are unwilling to move them with so much as a finger…. So, you too, outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

Wow, a real roller coaster of a post. I laughed, I got angry, I pondered.

Its amazing that now I look at those quotes from the publications and viewing them from the outside I can see that the ones describing the rosey world of the JWs bear no resemblance to reality. The only love in the congregations is that which can be found in any human being - not just an indoctrinated Christian one. And yet, once upon a time I drank down those words and did not question them.

This is one post that all those JWs still within the organization (see I used the word!) should read, in order to give them the nudge to break free and heal.

And who gave us the Greek Christian Scriptures in their current form and content - no Gospel of Thomas, or Philipp, etc. The great apostasy decided what was to be scripture and what was to be silenced. Jehovah's Organization now uses the apostate canon to guide it in it's ever "brighter" "meat in due season."
