Quick summary - as best I can assess - is that his wife has multiple medical issues and much compromised abilities.

She's been in the hospital for just over two weeks and Yizuman is very worried about her. He is not able to stay at the hospital due to distance and work responsibilities. Also he is deaf so communication with the nurses is not too free-flowing.

Among other things, she has developed a clot in her hand and has been put on a 'pressure machine'. Yizuman is hoping someone can help explain what this might mean.

The thread is 4 pages long so here's a link to just the specific post: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/161530/3002752/post.ashx#3002752

Yizuman - I hope this post helps you get some better information.

if there was someone here with medical understanding maybe they could phone the hospital (obviously someone that yizuman trusts and would not mind giving permission) who could get a break down of the things going on and type it out for him minus the complicated (and sometimes frightening sounding medical terms) so he would have a clear idea of what was going on?

maybe if anyone was close to the hospital perhaps they wouldnt mind dropping in so his wife has a visitor when he can't get there through work and distance?

its a big board who knows maybe someones practically on the doorstep?

I doubt if a medical professional would feel competent enough to talk to Yizuman about his wife's condition without seeing her medical records. IMO, Yizu would do better to try to meet with his wife's doctor and explain that he doesn't understand. I am sure the doctor would find time to talk with him.

Some hospitals have staff that can be very helpful in this situation. The doctor or the nurses should be able to point him in that direction if it is available..
