Just got this from me limey friends:-))

Who has disassociated themselves? Who are no longer Jehovah’s Witnesses?

For the answer read from "Organized to Accomplish Our Ministry" page 151

"Concerning those who renounced their Christian faith in his day, the apostle John wrote: "They went out from among us, but they were not of our sort; for if they had been of our sort they would have remained with us" (1 John 2:19) Also a person might renounce his place in the Christian congregation by his actions, such as by becoming part of a secular organization the objective of which is contrary to the Bible and hence, is under judgement by Jehovah God. (Compare Revelation 19: 17-21; Isaiah 2:4) So if a person who is a Christian chooses to join those who are disapproved by God, it would be fitting for the congregation to acknowledge by a brief announcement that he has disassociated himself and is no longer one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Such a person would be viewed in the same way as a disfellowshipped person" (bold added)

If any one is not aware, the said organization joined the United Nations Organization 10 years ago. That international body the UNO themselves decided to (and I quote from The UNO official document) "disassociate the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York as of 9th October 2001" Do I detect some wry humour or poetic justice here. Were they aware of the article of allegiance so inscribed on PAGE 151 ?

Excellent Randy: This is alnother reason why the WTS membership in the UN is so extremely hypocritcal. They do things that they themselves condemn and DA and DF others for doing. Added thier denounciation of the UN in no uncertain terms, and we have a double whammy level of hypocrisy going on that stinks to the high heavens.

Unlike other changes and gradual improvement in policy, I believe that this issue deserves to be held high as one serious example of what the JW religion is all about.

Thanks again for your post. - Amazing

    Randy,

If they fight the DA process and appeal it, I hope that the Judicial Committee formed take into account that they have been leading a double life, at least in this respect, for many years.

They have been very, very, naughty little chappies - HS

I'm not sure if it's possible under their procedures to appeal the DA, but if it is, will they express sincere repentance and perform "works that befit repentance"?

And if their repentance is accepted, will they be 'put on restrictions'?

    Cheers,
    Ozzie

    Ozzie,

Imagine the collective sigh of relief of 6 billion people, let alone the trees, when they cannot place magazines for 3 months ( dependant on repentance of course ).

Included in the "works befitting repentance" would be regular meeting attendance in their local congregations. Now that would be a test for some GB members, eh?

    Cheers,
    Ozzie
