I posted yesterday regarding a DF'd young lady who is attempting to get re-instated into her local congregation.
She doesn't believe a word that JW's teach. When she is eventually re-instated, this lady will say goodbye to her relationship with her boyfriend, her dancing, even the clothes she wears will all have to go. She will submit herself to the iron will of her elder father and attempt to enter her mothers tut-tut world of submissive sisterhood with its demure prissiness wrapped up between Peter Pan collar and ever longer skirts.
This lady is paying the ultimate price - her very self - to redeem her hostage family from its kidnappers. She so wants her family back(brainwashed as it is a la Patty Hearst style) that she will pay any price demanded so that they and she can salvage something out of their wrecked relationship.
So far, the WTBTS who have kidnapped her family, are demanding an ever increasing ransom sum from her. The latest demand is that she does not communicate with her family during meetings. Last week she made an appointment with the kidnappers to attempt to ransom her hostage loved ones, they simply told her that she had asked for the meeting, this was not the time for them to consider reinstatement. She will agree to almost anything to negotiate for the release of the hostages so that she can once again give and receive even just a little love from them.
I wonder how many thousands of Ransom Sacrifices there are sitting in Kingdom Halls each week, just waiting and hoping that things may change one day.
