What, no-one like Van Morrison???
-
Abaddon
Of course there is no-one like Van Morrison, LOL
I do have to ask, what the doo-dah was he smoking when he wrote 'Kingdom Hall'?
However, 'Brown-Eyed Girl', 'Dancing in the Moonlight' etc. are great

I don't know about you, Gyles, but I'm starting to feel old around here - LOL.

LOL @ Abaddon - ya clever bugger
I hear that, like many of these very good performers, he can be a bit - erm - grumpy sometimes shall we say? Bloody good music though.

precious time is slippin' away"

Van is the Man! 'No teacher, no guru', I heard after it was too late. Van's bass player once played with a former musician I collaborated with (Forrest McDonald) - check out his web site. 'Astral Weeks' was a bright light in music when everybody wanted a sound like the Stones. Then again reading Jack Kerouac changes one from a ripoff like Mick Jagger to a poet like Van. Love the tune 'Wavelength.' G-L-O-R-I-A.

Love Van Morrison. Caravan, Crazy Love, And It Stoned Me and (especially) Sweet Thing are some of my favorite songs.
Are you going to go see him LT? -

LT, I'm not that old....and my younger brother in his early 20s loves Van Morrison as well.

I caught the Van-Bob shows in England in the late 90's. Was great, in Newcastle.
Isn't Van just the best on The Last Waltz!

I saw van at Glastonbury a few years back. I not much into his 'Happy Clappy' Cliff Richard type stuff, but boy, the man sings like an angel.
