Watchtower?s double meaning of words and catch phrases
The Society has an amazing way of saying one thing, but often implying many other things! Here are some examples:
- The expression "organization" has been defined in publications as "the Christian Congregation." But is that all that is included? No! If you look at the video, "JW?s the Organization Beyond the Name," it reviews the printing operations of the Society. In other words, this word includes the portion outside the "Christian Congregation," namely the huge publishing empire and the world wide church hierarchy. It is probably the main reason they have to maintain this non-Biblical expression, because they is no other way to explain the corporate appendage that is the controlling-arm of the JW organization.
- The expression "Faithful Slave," is explained to be the body of "Anointed Christians" at any moment in time beginning in the 1 st century up-to now. However, when used in relation to "spiritual food" given out "at the proper time" in our day, it?s applied to the GB and the Watchtower Society.
- The expression "apostate" has one meaning when applied to "apostate Christendom;" JW?s are even encouraged to preach to the "apostates" in "Christendom." However, if one leaves the JW Organization, and is thereafter considered an "apostate," no one is allowed to talk or communicate with him/her.
This is just my 2-cents. I?m sure you folks can think of many more examples!
