    • Some adjustments will be made in future printings of the Live Forever book. The only significant change is with regard to the Sodomites, on pages 178 and 179. This change appeared in the Revelation book, page 273, and in The Watchtower of June 1, 1988, pages 30 and 31. You may wish to note it in earlier printings that you have on hand.

That's pretty funny! Jehovah can't seem to make up his mind. I really don't think it's up to the Suiciety to decide who and who isn't going to be resurrected.

Naturally this leads to the question:

"Can the Watchtower Society's reputation ever be resurrected?"

To think that I too was once part of the WT insanity... Well no I really wasn’t, but then again I guess I was, but no not really, oh yes I was ... OH GOD!!!

    LOL!!!

If only the dubs could see this spelled out for them - wouldn't something click? Wouldn't they then realize what a bunch of crap it all is?

I guess the Watchtower will find it difficult to explain away this by their "tacking" illustration. It sounds more like being lost at sea and buffeted by "every wind of change." It better send out an S.O.S while it is still floating....

Can anyone tell me why this is a significant teaching to the WTS? Does it lead into other Watchtower teachings that have bigger implications than the just the judgement of those buggerers?

I think it touches on the JW doctrine that punishment at armageddon will be final, the case of sodom shows that god's past judgements may not be final, which causes the armageddon intimidation to lose most of its force.

If one will die at armageddon, and later be resurrected and given a second chance that's nothing much to worry about, and the WTS will not have such a hold over its members to pressure them emotionally into doing its wishes.

Their dithering attitude is very suspicious because the gospel states clearly that the sodomites will be resurrected and leaves no margins for doubt.

Its wierd because I have a copy of both the 1982 and 1989 editions Live Forever Book and on page 179 both clearly state that the sodomites will not get a resurrection. ????
