    Hello Everyone!

    I just thought I would post a Thread and let everyone know what my own personal beliefs are.

    You can post any comments you want to.

    Also, you can post your own personal beliefs if you would like to.

    Here are my beliefs (based on what I have read in the Bible):

    I believe in God Almighty, my Creator (The Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit -- All 3 are Separate Persons in Unity as One God -- All 3 are Co-Equal, Co-Eternal, Co-Omnipotent, Co-Omniscient).

    I believe that Jesus Christ, the Eternal Son of God, came to Earth and was Born as a Human (while keeping His Full Deity), gave Christians 3 LAWS to follow (Love God, Love your Neighbor, and Treat others how you want to be treated), Died for the world's sins, in order that everyone who believes in Jesus Christ may be saved and receive eternal life with the Jesus, and Jesus was raised from the Dead and Ascended into Heaven to be with the Father.

    All of this is by the grace, love, mercy, and justice of God.

    That is the Gospel of Salvation.

    I believe that everyone who truly believes in the TRUE Jesus Christ of the Bible, will be saved, and will be taken to Heaven when they die to be with the Lord Jesus Christ for Eternity.

    I believe that when they die, everyone who rejects Jesus Christ will end up spending Eternity separated from Jesus Christ in Hell (whether Hell is a Fiery Place of Torment or not, I'm not sure, but I know I don't want to be there no matter what it is).

    I believe that Jesus Christ is the ONLY JUDGE of a person's heart and mind. Humans should not condemn one another, in regards to where they are going to go (Heaven or Hell).

    Jesus Christ will judge everyone who never got to hear the Gospel.

    I believe that all children who died before they were old enough to know what is right or wrong, will be saved.

    I believe that Jesus Christ is Coming Again, whether in our life time or not, I do not know.

    I believe that EVERYONE ON EARTH should follow these 3 Commandments of Christ:

    1: Love God with all your Heart, Mind, Soul, Spirit, and Strength.

    2: Love your Neighbor (any Human) the same as you Love Yourself

    3: Treat other people as you want them to treat you

    I believe that everyone should be HONEST with each other, and not lie or slander.

    I believe that everyone should obey the Governments unless they command you to break God's Law.

    I believe that the following things are WRONG and are SINS against GOD:

    * Child Molestation, Incest, & All Child Abuse
    * Rape
    * Murder (Including Abortion)
    * Fornication (Sex outside of Marriage, including Adultery, Sex with Animals, etc.)
    * Homosexual Fornication
    * Physical Abuse
    * Stealing
    * Hatred
    * Idolatry (Worshipping anything other than the True God)
    * Lying, Slander, & Deception
    * Drunkenness
    * Sorcery, Spiritism, Witchcraft, Divination, Communicating with the Dead, Consulting Fortune Tellers and Spirit Mediums, Wiccan & Pagan Rituals
    * Envy
    * Using God's Name in Vain or Profaning God's Name

    I will post more of my beliefs as soon as possible.

    So let me ask you this: how old do you think the Earth is?

    Oooh, you base your beliefs on what you've read in the bible. You must be a really wise person!

    not.

    I appreciate your honesty and openness.

    At least in this respect I agree with you totally (to paraphrase):

    Love is the measure of everything that matters.

    Be nice! I think it's interesting to have a breakdown of another person's religous beliefs. Rarely will we agree with someone completely.

    Good question. I am really not sure. It could be only 6,000 or so years old, or it could be A LOT OLDER than that, because the word "day" in the Bible sometimes means 1,000 years (that's how long a year is to God).

    I am definitely not wise, I am no expert on anything, in fact, sometimes I think I am an idiot and pretty stupid.

    I have just been reading the Bible and Praying to God to help me understand it.

    I am sure there are Billions of people smarter and wiser than I am.

    I try to be very humble, and I try to be honest, and I try to keep an open mind.

    If I ever sound arrogant, please let me know, and tell me to stop it. LOL

    AMEN to Craig!

    1st John 4:7: Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is Born of God, and knows God.
    1st John 4:8: He who doesn't love doesn't know God, for God is Love.

    1 Corinthians 1:-

    18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written:
    "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
    the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate." [3]
    20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22 Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.

    So what do you mean by "a lot". From your answer I assume you mean that at most it took God 7,000 years to create the Earth and then human have been here for another 6,000. Is my assumption correct? So at most, the Earth has been around about 15 thousand years, correct?

    StinkyPantz,

    Yes, it seems to me, that most likely, the "Days" spoken of in Genesis are either 24 Hours, or 1,000 Years.

    First of all, I believe God can do whatever He wants to, so He could have created the entire Universe in less than a second if He had wanted to.

    God is not bound by Time or Space or the Physical Universe. God created Time, Space, and the Physical Universe. God created the Heavens (the Spirit Realm).

    Actually, going by Genesis 1:5, it appears that the Days were 24 Hours long.

    However, I am definitely not dogmatic on this subject, and I am open to new ideas.

    However, I believe completely in Jesus Christ's Sacrifice.

    So humor me. . . why do you believe that Jesus is what the Bible says he is? How do you know he wasn't just another charasmatic man wanting to help out his people? I ask this seriously because my faith in the existence in the God of the Bible is almost nil.
