Is adultery a sin against Jesus? Or is it an offense to the innocent mate(s)? Why would Jesus take it upon himself to forgive someone for something that was not an offense against him? Why is Jesus' forgiveness better, or perhaps more important, than forgiveness from the innocent (wronged) mate(s)?

I luv ya LT, you know that, right? I just felt like challenging the dynamic that the Bible presents.

Of course there is always a wise and practical reason for what God inspired to be written in his word the Bible. Maybe the marriage arrangement is the lynch pin of human society and that is important to God even if it isn’t important to us. Isn’t it “black/white think” to pit God against what he inspired to be written in the Bible? Litteltoe, please explain.
