What do you think the first secret watchtower is going to be about?

All craptowers are full of bs, this one will have extra bs, for their faithful followers to digest...

It really reminds me of the scientologists, making people make some serious commitment first before they find out what their cult religion really is about.

...the difference between the public version and the publisher version would be the questions and some WT specific language that most 'worldly' people wouldn't understand without a lengthy explanation.

Welcome Fat Greg - Hmmm - your statement makes me think that as the WTBTS are imparting 'knowledge' that is MEANT for dub eyes only, JWs will (psychologically) get the 'message' that there is something afoot without anything being mentioned (a bit like 1975) - and it will have a 'positive' effect on the R&F.

Oh yes, and I think it'll be about money - surely somewhere in the Bible they can twist a Scripture about 'tithing' (which WON'T be the WORLDLY 10%, but 25% - New Light)

It could very well be about the ten wise virgins who had extra oil and the ten dumb virgins who ran out of oil. (Mat. Chapter Whatever : Verse Who Cares) Watchtower will compare all Jehovah's Witnesses in attendence to the ten virgins with extra oil and how the Secret Watchtower is that extra oil to keep them safe until Jesus the Groom arrives for the Wedding Feast known as Armageddon.

    Think about it...

Mat. Chapter Whatever: Verse Who Cares is VERY FUNNY, Jayhawk! I also think you make an excellent point here.

Prob'ly an article telling the R&F how much they should appreciate the "happifying™" experience of having the "loving provisoon™" of such "solid food™" all in one package.

No doubt some quotations from suitable appreciative dubs for the change.

"Food at the right time™" = 15th of the month Watchtower.

What's the earliest that a person jw or not could receive a copy of the 1/1/08 (or is the jw copy going to be 1/15/08)?

If they only took out the questions in the jw copy, then they would basically be identical if the purpose is to not overwhelm non-jws with jw jargon, "difficult" concepts. etc.

The whole Masterplan will save a fortune on paper.

    Think of it.

Only the study articles are to be in the Koolaid edition.

At present each family member gets a 32 page magazine, of which only 10 - 15 pages are study articles. The rest is needlessly duplicated material to be read at leisure.

Each family will now only need 1 complete magazine plus the koolaid copy for each member.

Wth a circulation of 57 000 000 each month, after 2008 it will mean only 6 000 000 koolaids nead to be printed and 20 000 000 for the bird-food to line their bins with.

That is quite a lot of trees over a year, and millions less $$$ on paper.

Let's say they do print a lot less and all the JW take the amount they are used to ( bad habits ). Then they would have to lecture everyone on how to really "benefit" from the new arrangement.

Since the end is just around the corner, we will all read the 2008 editions in the shadow of our own olive tree!

I expect teh first several months of secret WTs to be pretty tame. The Society is pretty sensitive to how they appear to outsiders, and they know there will be a lot of attention on those first few "special" editions. They won't want to put anything too controversial in there while there is a lot of attnetion on them.

After 4-6 months or so, when the excitement of "our secret Watchtowers" has worn down a little, that's when I expect the heavy stuff to start to be included.

this doesn't raise red flags within the organizations members I don't know what else will. its always been the WT's purpose to preach the word to the public. coming with some 'elite' version of the WT mag IMO will just defeat the purpose of going door to door.

First off, WELCOME FAT GREG!! Second, I am sure there was some huge paragraph about spiritual food and how new ones need milk not solids and that is why there is to be a seperating of the mags. One has Milk at the proper time for the public and the other contains the REAL solid food needed by true christians. (GOD I HATE MYSELF FOR COMING UP WITH THAT ONE)

I believe the first article will be about the evils of the internet and false religion and especially apostates. We are satan incarnate you know.

Maybe you're right, sir82, but maybe they just don't care. Right now, the study WTs are already something that would make the average person think "What the HELL?" about the religion. After all, they really wanted outsiders to come in this year, and after making a token mention of Jesus a handful of times in each talk, it all about the SLAVE--the Faithful and DISCREET SLAVE!!

"Sure you like Jesus, but we like him too...we love his Father more...and we follow his human representatives WITHOUT QUESTION!"
