Who is Jesus Christ? What does the Bible say?

1: Jesus Christ is God Almighty, the Supreme Being [Omnipotent] (John 1:1-3; John 20:28-29; Hebrews 1:6, 1:8, 1:10; Psalm 45:6; Psalm 102:25; Titus 2:13; Romans 9:5; Colossians 2:9)

2: Jesus Christ is Eternal -- He has always existed and always will exist (Isaiah 9:6; 1st Thessalonians 6:14-16; Micah 5:2; Revelation 1:17; Revelation 2:8; Revelation 22:13; John 8:58)

3: Jesus Christ created ALL things for Himself, including angels and humans, and the Heavens and the Earth (John 1:3; Colossians 1:16-17; Ephesians 3:9; Hebrews 1:10)

4: Jesus Christ knows all things and can read human minds and hearts [Omniscient] (Revelation 2:23; John 2:24-25; John 21:17)

5: Jesus Christ is in more than one place at the same time [Omnipresent] (Matthew 18:20; Matthew 28:20; John 14:18-23; Acts 18:9-10)

6: Jesus Christ resurrected Himself (John 2:19-22; John 10:17-18)

7: Jesus Christ is Equal in Nature, Attributes, and Qualities with the Father (Colossians 2:9; Philippians 2:6)

    8: Jesus Christ is prayed to as God (Acts 7:59-60; 1st Corinthians 1:2; 2nd Corinthians 12:8-10; 1st John 5:13-15)

9: Jesus Christ is worshiped as God (John 5:23; Revelation 5:8-14; Hebrews 1:6)

10: Jesus Christ is NOT The Father (John 14:28; John 14:24)

11: Jesus Christ is NOT The Holy Spirit (John 14:16; John 14:26; John 15:26; John 16:13-14)

12: The Father has a "Greater" Position over Jesus, because Jesus willingly submits to The Father's final decisions (Philippians 2:6-8; Luke 22:42; John 14:28; 1st Corinthians 11:3; 1st Corinthians 15:24-28)

I would love to hear your comments. (I can post those Scriptures here upon request).

I agree with just about all the statements that you made there. I have been studying the Bible for 4 years in the Bible & Theology department of the college that I attend. These statements go right along with what we have been studying.

Don't forget that God alone created all things without any help (Isa 44:24).

Jehovah shares his glory with no one, (? verse) Jesus returns to the Father to the Glory he shared before coming to Earth (? again verse)

Jesus is the First and the Last (Rev 1:17). Jehovah is the First and the Last (Isa 44:6). The First and the Last is the Alpha and the Omega (Rev 22:12). The Alpha and the Omega is the Almighty (Rev 1:8).

Jesus Christ is coming (Heb 1:6). The Almighty is coming (Rev 1:7-8)

Jehovah alone is most high over the Earth (Psalm 83:18), Jesus has all the power in Heaven and Earth (Matt 28:18)

Jesus- "No one is good but one, and that one is God alone" (Mrk 10:18), Jesus- "I am the GOOD shepherd...My sheep know me and I know them" (John 10:14.....)

When you say that God created all things by Himself, are you saying that the Father created all things by Himself?

If so, then why did God say, "Let US make man in OUR own image"?

When you say that God created all things by Himself

he did say that at Isa 44:24

are you saying that the Father created all things by Himself?

No this Jehovah character that I reffered to must have been Jesus unless Jesus' pants are on fire and hanging from a telephone wire.

If so, then why did God say, "Let US make man in OUR own image"?

for the same reason Jehovah said "I caused an overthrow among you people, like God's overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah." (amos 4:10-11)

God is more than one person.

I still have a Bible which I pick up occasionally, but I have given up hanging on every word it says since leaving the witnesses. I have a much more balanced view which could never allow me to base an entire belief system solely on it's interpretation. I think this is part of the problem with the witnesses; they are taught that it is ALL about what the bible says, so how can they let it go? Where is the room for love or faith or even feeling in between the lines or intonation of the words?

OK, I don't knock anyone for what they believe either, even if it sounded like it.

Yeah I have a bible around the house somewhere, I think it is used under a table leg for leveling it.

    Will.

    William,

You know you don't have a bible underneath a table leg in your house. Stop telling lies.

Your questions involve far too much scripture searching for me, and for a purpose I don't understand.

I know that The Master left us with two commandments: to love God with a whole soul; and to love your neighbor as yourself. I expect if I do those things, the Spirit will lead me into ALL truth. So rather than sweat such questions, I feel it more appropriate to do as commanded and have those questions answered for me.

After the nightmare of having spaghettie brains from what the WT taught about this, I have reached the conclusion that the deity is correct and the Trinity is the most reasonable attempt of man to explain the Godhead from the Scriptural viewpoint.
