OK just got back from the DC in Kansas City. I know there has been a thread on the DC already but I will post "highlights" or lowlights depending on one's opinion, of the DC in KC on this thread.

1) Bethel Speakers so far 1 from Patterson Bethel, 1 from Brooklyn Bethel and 1 from Walkill Bethel + Governing Body Speaker Anthony Morris 111

Friday major talk on Christ on last talk by Morris. Illustarted earthquake in Armenia few yaers ago. Father started digging for his son. Was mocked.He asked "When are you going to join me to help" Many hours later he was still digging and heard voice of his son in rubble. With him were many other young people.

Current system is rubble. GB is the father. Aasking weh nare you going to join us searching for survivors? Also said many attending DC here are not necessarily following Christ. Only those listening and applying the counsel were truly following the Christ.

Talk 5 Baptism - I counted 95 baptized out of 8785 attendance - which is a high figure

It was stressed this is NOT a replacement for The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived" book but it isa Complement to the Draw Close to Jehovah book

Talk 7) Superiority of being Taught by Jehovah

Jesus was taught by Jehopvah NOT AT UNIVERSITY

Bachelors, masters no good. Supplementary education - trade school etc good. Interviewed brother who got a bachelors degree - he sadi useless had to go to trade school anyway. Brother majored in Education with a minor in Physics. Took him 10 years to pay off debt. He is now Reg pioneering and far happier

Interviewed a brother who had been at Bethel for 32 years and had been sent as a special pioneer to Manhattan Kansas. Still being paid by Bethel but he and his wife said they may have to take on some occasional work but they were happy to be specail pioneers. He had no worldl;y education - he was educated by Jehovah just as Jesus Christ was - mesaage - follow the Christ

It was claimed 97% do not get a job in the field they majored in (I SUSPECT THIS STATISTIC) - message - Follow the GB who follow the Christ - dont go to college

Talk 8) Help them return to Jehovah - prodigal son - total bullshit talk as they do not follow this counsel. Elders rarely shepherd anyway . I hope this sounsel is a change in policy but I doubt it

Talk 9) Husbands, Wives, Parents, Children - follow the model - nothing here - totally predictable
